My daughter and I have been staying here over Labor Day weekend for several years. Bridgette, the owner, offers rooms that are beautifully decorated. Miriam keeps the rooms fresh and clean. Bridgette makes us feel very welcome during our stay. Her breakfast is absolutely fabulous. Homemade muffins with homemade jams and peanut butter. Fresh fruit and cereal. Eggs and sausage.... More

Recently spent a Girl's Night for New Years Eve at Old Carriage House and had a fantastic trip. It was Old Carriage House that made the our stay in Amish Country so fantastic. There are lots of Amish in the region and the B and B is well located. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and Bridgette is... More

What an amazing weekend!! When we arrived Brigitte was not there but we walked through the door and she had everything we needed right there. The keys, 2 options of rooms to choose from and such a lovely home! We stayed in the barn house, on the garden side and couldn't have been happier. Brigitte was so accommodating from beginning... My first weekend there with my girlfriend and we loved it. Brigitte was very welcoming, and provided tasty breakfasts consisting of fresh fruits, breads, and even a quiche for our second morning. We enjoyed venturing about and finding the local antique stores. We already booked another weekend for Memorial Day. Thanks again to you and Miriam!

Our family group of 15 people had a pleasant experience at the Old Carriage Inn during our stay for 2 nights, Dec. 27 and 28. It was a place to be away from home near Chicago but only 150 miles away of mostly expressway driving. Bridgett, who owns it, lives on the premises and is very helpful with suggestions, information,... More

A friend booked our group into the Old Carriage Inn B & B. While one in our group had hoped for a television in her room (she sleeps with it on), the other accommodations made up for its lack. Bridgette and Miriam were wonderful hostesses. We had booked buggy rides. It was cold and we didn't know if the driver... More

This was my idea of a B&B. Extremely comfortable. Just like a home away from home. Bridgette and Miriam extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed there for the Shipshewana Quilt Festival and found everything easy to get to from the B&B. Wonderful opportunities to meet other guests in the living room or out on the deck. Fabulous breakfast to get... More

This is my 5th time over the past few years visiting Shipshewana and staying at the Old Carriage Inn. Bridgette and Miriam were their usual charming selves and welcomed us with open arms..Despite the fact that Bridgette had a lot going on the days we stayed, she made time to make us Peaches and Cream French Toast for breakfast one... Was so excited about going to Shipshewana and staying at a B and B. Huge disappointment in the Old Carriage Inn. We got to the B and B at about 3:00 p.m. There were, what I had assumed, guests there but now I look back and I think they were friends of the owner already there. We were greeted by... More

For a comfortable setting in Amish country, as if you are staying with an old friend, look no further than The Old Carriage Inn in Shipshewana, Indiana. This B&B is in the heart of Amish country - a great location, right next to the flea market and near a major road. Brigitte is a warm, hospitable, friendly hostess who goes... More
