I would stay here again anytime. My friend was very pleased as well. Clean!!!! Everyone was friendly. Very nice hot breakfast with many choices. Comfortable beds and pillows. Quiet even though it had many other guests there. We couldn't have asked for a nicer experience. Close to all Shipshewana events.

Love the area, the hotel was clean and the room was satisfactory, we rented a king suite but the couch was not comfortable, older and drab. The carpet needed a shampoo. The breakfast was the same prepared breakfast that you get in most motels, little taste but filling. Expected more from the area noted for great food and Superior quality... More

This was a very nice, quiet, clean and attractive hotel. It isn't as close to the center of town as the Bluegate, but it's still a great place to stay. It was quiet, the beds were clean; the comforters are white, which proves cleanliness more than any other color. The girl at the desk wasn't bubbling with friendliness, but she... More

The Van Buren was clean, quiet, friendly, reasonable and accommodating. We met family for a weekend. Our rooms were together and there was a choice of areas to get together in the evenings (Shipshewana shops close early) to talk and play cards. Stop by the front desk for a fresh chocolate chip cookie!

This hotel was a nice surprise. Quiet, clean, outstanding decor. Grounds well-maintained. Small warning - alcohol is hard to come by in Shipshe. Easy access to shopping and areas of interest. Breakfast was more than adequate.

I can confirm what Barb Q said...a "Great Hotel in Amish Country". It is large for the area, and used to be a Country Inn at one time but is now independently owned. Had a coupon for the King Suite room, which gives a little more space. There aren't many choices in the area, and this was a good one... More

The Van Buren is well-located just a few minutes from downtown Shipshewana. It is a large property with impeccably clean public areas and rooms. VERY comfortable king-sized bed with great bedding which afforded an outstanding night's sleep after a long day of shopping! Breakfast was awesome, the staff was delightful and the room had everything you could possibly ask for.... More

The Van Buren was a beautiful hotel in this quaint town of Shipshewana. The staff was more than accommodating, the King room with sofa was awesome with the comfortable sofa and additional TV, the bed was super comfy, the room was quiet and the breakfast was all one needs before heading out for a day of shopping or before hitting... We came to visit the area, the only slight negative was a weak shower. Breakfast was good, price seemed great. We booked a king bed with a jacuzzi under 150. We appreciate the cleanliness and relative quiet. We would stay here again if we return to the area
