The Van Buren Hotel is simply amazing. I checked in a bit late, and the hotel seemed empty. By the time I returned from dinner it was filled. However, it was blissfully quiet. No kids running through the halls, no slamming doors, no noise from anything. It was as if I was the only guest. The room was immaculately clean.... More

This is a basic hotel with a nice, family run feeling to it. Perfect place to stop if you want to see Shipshewana (and the flea market which is disappointedly filled with a bunch of junk from China. . .and only a few antiques or custom made items.) This town closes up at night so don't expect to find many... More

We had a wonderful experience at The Van Buren Hotel in Shipshewana, IN. Everything was very clean and the bathroom had plenty of room on the sink counter for both my husband and I (this does not happen very often). The staff was exceptional and very accommodating. If and when we are going near Shipshewana again we will stay here.... More

This is a great hotel to stay at when visiting Shipshewana Indiana. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very clean. The price is not to bad since you get a free breakfast buffet served promptly. The hotel has a nice pool area that is open late for their guests to enjoy. I will defiantly... More

Beautifully decorated, friendly staff, very clean, nice breakfast with several selections of hot and cold foods, comfortable beds. Close to shopping...be sure to check out the shops behind the Blue Gate Restaurant and Playhouse.

Nice, spacious, clean room, great customer service and, beautiful view out our window of pond. To our surprise, they apparently have a water softner as the softest towels and water. Will definately stay again.

We like this hotel when we stay in this Amish area. The rooms are very clean and the staff is wonderful. The breakfast is more than enough with a variety of items to choose from. We always enjoy our stay here.

We just stayed for the 9th time at the Van Buren Hotel in Shipshewana, Indiana. It is a lovely property, very quiet and very clean. The breakfast every morning included in hotel stay is very good with a great assortment. My only request would be for some fresh fruit. All the employees are friendly and ready to assist in any... As many others have stated the only thing average is the breakfast. Everything else is above average with nice and friendly staff, clean quite rooms and comfortable beds. They are a little on the soft side but that's they way I like them. Pool was very clean and everything in general was perfect! I would stay here again!

I'll be the first to admit I'm a bit of a cheapskate when it comes to renting hotel rooms . . .give me a clean room, comfy bed and I'm happy. But occasionally I'll splurge and though some might not think $100+ a night is a splurge, for me it is. Though it is a quick few minutes out of... More
