The hotel is located about a mile from the Shipshewana Flea Market which makes it convenient. Had never stayed there before but reviews seemed okay. Booked it online which had no place on form for AAA discount. Figured it must not give one so no big deal. However when checking in there was a big sign which said must show... More

Nice rooms, country setting and amenities, and convenient access to Shipshewana. Staff could be friendlier to guest requests, but still a good place to stay. Room was very clean and breakfast is the typical continental type with eggs, sausage patties, waffles, etc. Nice to watch the buggy go by. We would stay here again.

this is a clean, comfortable hotel. The breakfast at very good, both hot and cold. The only down side is check in. 1 person at the front desk to perform all tasks. It is painful!! 20 min ordeal. Employee stated they won't hire an assistant. Once checked in, everything was cool.

We just checked into the hotel today and we are here for 4 nights. I made the reservation on-line through the hotel website. When we arrived the person in front of us was using their AAA card for a discount. When I got to check-in I provided the girl with my AAA card and told her that there was no... More

Great staff, friendly staff, extremely clean. Breakfast was stocked and full the entire time we were in the room. I owned a hardware store for 38 years and this is the only business I've been (besides mine) that even compared to the efficiency and cleanliness of my business. When we arrived, there were people cleaning the entrance, cleaning the lobby,... More

We stay in a King Suite which was very nice and comfortable! Large living room and bedroom also nice kitchen area. Bathroom was nice but water from shower was really weak. Very well kept and staff was very nice. Pool area was nice too!

We spent a night at the Van Buren Hotel on our visit to the Amish town of Shipshewanan. The hotel was well presented, very clean and comfortable. There is plenty of car parking room and pretty gardens outside. The hotel is on the outskirts of the town, so car is necessary.

We love visiting the Shipshewana Flea Market and try to get there once a year. This was our first stay at the Van Buren. The hotel was clean, beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. Coffee was available throughout the day. Swimming pool was nice - kids enjoyed it. Would definitely stay here again. Staff was friendly and... More

Our room was clean and felt clean. Nicely decorated and was comfortable. Our check in was good. We were early so we came back for the keys. When we returned keys ready and we were up to our rooms. We had breakfast the next morning. Your basis hotel breakfast, but I must have been hungry because it was tasty and... More

This hotel was quiet and clean. The staff was very helpful and respectful. The breakfast was great, kept us full for a long time. They serve eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, juice, Belgium waffles, bagels, toast and more. There were also fresh cookies at the front counter. The pool was fine. You can sit outside off the pool in a peaceful... More
