This was our first trip to Santa Claus, Indiana. We chose Santa's Lodge because it is the closest hotel to Holiday World amusement park (which we loved) and the price was reasonable (under $100 per night). It is also close to Abraham Lincoln's Boyhood Home National Park, which we also visited. POSITIVES - Close to Holiday World amusement park (just... more

Okay, for all youu grumpy people who apparently went to Holiday World on a 94 degree day and came back expecting no kids, quiet relaxation, and hot tea and crumpetts IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Santa's Lodge may needs some new carpet in the rooms but the convienience of being 30 seconds from Holiday World is nice. As far... more

Stay away from this one. It was a horrible experience. We couldn't wait to leave! The carpet was dirty, there were several flies in the room, we found a dirty shot glass on the floor, the sink would not drain, the toilet didn't flush right, the hotel staff is not friendly at all, the pool had bugs, the restaurant food... more

I would not stay at this hotel again, instead I would go to the camp ground and rent an rv. Frosty's was a big let down. My son would not even eat the pizza we got. It was just edible nothing to get again. For breakfast the buffets is way to high for what they had on it. Not much... more

My wife and young child accompanied me on this visit. First thing that happened was a very rude female employee at the desk upon check-in. I won't waste time talking about her ...... The word "rude" says it all. For $99/night you expect more than a bed and a tv(with only about 10 channels). The a/c unit doesnt do a... more

My wife and I just stopped in to see the quaint shop, restaurant, and possibly stay if all seemed "right" for us. We were on the way to Owensboro and we had plenty of sightseeing & tourist time. We were impressed with the warm & genuinely friendly reception from the staff, dining area with a view of a stocked pond.... more

Santa's Lodge is a nice place that is great for families going to Holiday World and Splashin' Safari. The employees were all very friendly. We stayed for two nights in the newer side of the hotel. Everything was very clean. They have a nice indoor and outdoor pool, and a hot tub inside. Only one complaint...We paid $109.xx plus fees... more

I am a local person who has booked reservations for friends. I noticed the reviews at this site are two and three years old and need to be updated. Many things have changed as the Lodge has grown. I have found the food to be good and the prices reasonable. My friends have not complained about the rooms being overpriced.... more

Our family stayed at Santa's Lodge for two days in the middle of July. We found the property to be a relaxed atmosphere that is geared to the family. We will stay here again next time we visit. The check in process was a little slow but the attendant was friendly enough. Beware though, Santa's Lodge does not have rollaway... more

We had problems from initial check-in on July 4, starting at the registration desk when the desk clerk rather disturbed because us wanting to use a VISA instead of my AMEX card used to book our room. The desk clerk indicated she was pressed for time and was going to have to make a change that normally would have been... more
