My husband and I go to this hotel at least three times a month!! We always get hooked up. We get free rooms, free food and free parking. We are always treated with respect. The new hotel across the street is beautiful. We stayed in a suite last time and it was great!! The tables are always fair.

Wife and I have been here a number of times, ( jim and kim brummett). Going again this next week. The staff are the best, the food is great, and the gambling is great. Considering moving down there or getting a vacation home there. Rising Sun, the town seems to be a great family oriented community and very friendly, which... More

I usually visit this casino/hotel once a month or so to decompress between trips to & from KY and Cleveland. Its quiet, cozy and quaint. Its safe and secure. Its staff are friendly and try to please. Its not the biggest or newest place but its clean and well kept. The smoking issue continues to come up when talking about... More

Stayed here Saturday May 25. First time in a renovated room, nice amenities, everything really clean. Love the bed and new TV on the wall makes for more room on the dresser. Would like better lighting and mirrors for putting on makeup. A sink outside of the bath area would be nice. Updated menu at the Pub for dinner, always... More

We books a room over three weeks in advance and asked for a non-smoking room. We were told that they would not guarantee room type (our mistake in not realizing that it also meant smoking vs non-smoking). When we arrived (after a three hour drive) no non-smoking rooms were left so we had to take a smoking room. This smoking... More

This hotel is under new management & is undergoing renno so they sent us a comped room & 2 buffet meals as a "welcome back" gift. We went on Presidents Day & found the crowd to be very small. We never had to wait for a slot machine or stand in line for our food. We had planned to use... More

We stayed at the Rising Star Hotel and Casino back in October as we had gotten a voucher for a free room during the week. We were very pleased at the size of the room and the cleanliness. You can tell it is an older property, but we had no complaints at all. I used the very well equipped gym... More

This hotel is under new ownership and is now called Rising Star Hotel and Casino. The rooms are large and very comfortable updated with flat screen TV's. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Skyline Chile is just one of the many restaurants you'll find on premise. The gaming was good also.
