We come twice a year. The desk clerks are friendly. The rooms are amazing. I face the river. The plump beds with luxury linens are the best for a good night sleep. The rooms are vey clean. The hallways are quiet. The hallways are beautiful with plants and pictures of the area. The outside has fresh plants everywhere. The corridor... More

My husband and I just returned from a great weekend at Rising Star. We had looked at staying at Hollywood right up the road but they wanted $299 per night. We stayed at the Rising Star Friday and Saturday nights for $128 total for the whole weekend including a dinner buffet with crab leg, steak, shrimp and a breakfast buffet... More

Excellent staff, a very nice and clean room close to the pool and on a Monday I felt like I had the casino to myself. The only down side was that there were no luggage cartys when I checked in and parking was a bit far from the door with the 2 below zero temps.

The staff here is just amazing! It would've gotten excellent from me had it not been for the extremely slow service at Big Vics. Every minute we were there we were having fun. I recommend this casino and resort over any of the other nearby places!

...or the "boat" or the gulf course. Anyway, the cleaning people are quiet when they work which is great when you are sleeping in and they have FREE internet. I love free internet. Rooms are very nice and you can swim in the indoor pool or hot tub.

The staff at rising star are just amazing. They're all just so nice and helpful not one was rude. If any of them hated there job you can't tell. I go every once in awhile and each time I have great customer service. The buffet is a little pricey but I usually go on all you can eat crab night... More

Website should be changed to reflect the 30 minute detour in getting to the hotel from the south. It is not an easy drive in the dark. Rooms clean but squishy bathtub bottom implies a fiberglass tub insert gone wrong.

I was hoping for a nice evening away from home. This hotel claims to have a hot tub and lounge so we were looking forward to a night away. When we checked in, on a Monday evening mind you, we were told there were no rooms available in the main hotel. We would have to stay in the adjoining hotel,... More

The hotel and casino at Rising Sun provides a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere for a two or three day stay. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, and the availability of free Internet was a real plus. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The casino is relatively small, but clean. It was too cold to take advantage of... More

This is the smaller of the three Casino boats on the Indiana side of the Ohio river. However this is a much nicer place to dine and stay. The hotel is just as nice or even a bit nicer then the other two places on the river. there is plenty of people to help you when you ask and they... More
