This sister property to the Smith house is owned by a couple who are admirably buying, rewtoring and prserving these beautiful and historic homes. The Perry house is available along with Smith house bookings, and is about a half a block from both the Smith house and where the owners live ( so there is hands on, immediate response when... More

The hosts were pleasant. The bedding was nice. The cleanliness was okay, although the house smelled old and musty. The food was horrible. We were promised a homemade dessert, which was slice and bake cookies in a plastic tupperware. Breakfast was promised to be a homemade quiche. I doubt it was homemade; certainly the crust was not. Either way, it... More

Do not make a reservation here. I reserved a room for my parents in honor of my mothers 80th birthday. A week after the reservation was accepted online ( and I informed my parents of the gift) the Bed and Breakfast notified me by email that the reservation would need to be for 2 nights and that the reservation I... We stayed one night at the Martha E. Perry House while we were in town doing the Chocolate Trail and exploring Richmond. The house is beautiful, very old and charming. We really enjoyed being pampered with an evening snack and being waited on for breakfast. We also really enjoyed talking with Kris at breakfast. We had some great conversations about... More

If you are in the Richmond area don't miss the Phillip W. Smith and Martha E Parry B&Bs. Call Jill to book your room so you will not be disappointed. The two homes have a variety of rooms with period charm and modern comforts. If you are a 42" flat screen HDTV buff take a pass because the TVs are... More

My husband and I decided to run away for the weekend and found ourselves in Richmond, IN so we decided to stay at the Philip W. Smith B&B. It was wonderful. The owners are very friendly and accomodating. The bedroom was comfortable and breakfast was wonderful!

Jill & Kris are both very nice. Our room was #4. A nice full size comfortable bed smashed into a tiny cramped corner room, along with a tiny cramped bathroom and a tiny outdated TV. My husband and I literally had to turn sideways and scoot by each other to even move past any spot in the room. He is... More

Guest room 4 at the Smith house is described on our website, www.pwsmithbnb.com, as our smallest room, most suited for an occupancy of 1 adult. In this particular circumstance, the guests did not book their room, but it was booked by a family member. Therefore, we did not have the opportunity to discuss their needs prior to check in. We... Spent 3 nights in the beginning of November while exploring Antique Alley and had an amazing stay at the Martha E Parry property! Rooms were spacious and furnished very nicely, as was the entire house. You can tell the love and care that was taken while finishing this beautiful old home! The hosts Kris and Jill were wonderful and helpful... More

I had a day staying in Richmond Indiana, and called the Martha Parry house. Jill said she had a room at last moment!! What a stunning old house. The stained glass on the second floor landing was spectacular. I had to leave early the next morning and Kris prepared a breakfast for me the night before and brought it over... More
