Reasonably clean and decent location from interstates. Not much for dining within walking distance. Hotel is dated. Room was clean and comfortable. Paint in bathroom was peeling and caulking in shower coming off. Towels were small and hard. Can't complain about the price so that is why this gets 3 stars. Typical breakfast with waffles etc...

We stayed here July 26,2014. The room smelled very strongly of some sort of something.... couldn't identify it. I slept with my nose under the cover. Next morning, I found the source of the strong smell. Someone had put a Glade plug-in in the outlet under the table beside the bed to cover up another smell (smoking?) anyway -- I... More

Bed was very comfortable. Room was good. Very quiet accommodations yet right off I-90. Breakfast met our needs but we're cereal and coffee types. I would/will stay here again. When exiting the I-90, the Inn is right at the exit. Easy to enter back on theI-90 after your stay.

While having no plans of being in Portage, IN, on this particular evening, we were at the mercy of an after-dark-detour in an area strange to us, and our GPS. Choice Hotels have always met our needs, and this was no exception. We found our room to be clean and quiet, as well as the grounds and hotel lobby areas.... More

We stayed one nite at this Comfort inn on our recent road trip. It is pet friendly and they appear to have designated rooms for people with pets. They did not match the online price from the "Choice Hotels" website. So we had to make the reservation online first and then check in. Room look old but clean. AC very... More

We came in late, with no reservation after a 14 hour day on the road(the last 2.5 spent trying to get through Chicago). The young lady at the front desk got us checked in and ready to go in about two minutes. She was extremely friendly and efficient. She also recommended a restaurant for late night dinner. She gave us... More

The hotel is right off of the highway. The woman who checked us in was. Very pleasant, requested a non smoking room, one that has always been non smoking & she told us it always had been nonsmoking. We were on the first floor, we entered a nice smelling room. When we took the covers off the bed we found... More

I had been traveling in a snowstorm and decided to stay at this hotel because of the brand name, one of my favorites. I got in at 6:45 am and tried to register for the day, which most hotels will do if rooms are available. The woman on the front desk was too busy eating in the breakfast room to... More

Looking for a night's sleep while driving from NY to WI, I stumbled on this place, right off the Route 80 exit ramp. Terrific night desk clerk, convenient parking, clean room and public spaces, comfortable bed, and a better than average free breakfast for $51. I'd certainly return if I were in the area.

The bathroom has a sign on the door: close door when showering. How odd. The beds were hard, and there was a slight stale smell to the hotel. The towels were small and rather stiff (they could use a good dose of softener). The fridge in the room was a plus.
