I booked a room here for 2 nights, so I could visit a friend who is recovering from surgery. I chose the Holiday Inn Express because it's close to her house, and one of very few hotels in the town. The lobby and check-in service were fine, and the young man at the front desk was lovely. I had requested... More

Location was very convenient for my family visit - no other hotel within 5 miles- but hotel is well used, hallways are shabby and the third floor is part smoking which makes the hallways always smell of smoke. The second floor is non-smoking and smells OK, but hallways still stained and shabby. Rooms themselves are OK, clean. So hotel is... More

Hotel is OK as long as you don't need hi speed internat. If you get a room close to a router you might get a very slow connection speed of .5mbs other wise you get no internet at all. CHEAPEST INTERNET ALLOWED BY LAW... More

Hotel itself was reasonable but worn. In a good spot for my purpose, a funeral. Problem is that I stayed there four nights but was charged for five nights. The bill I received at the hotel was correct, for four nights, but a couple of weeks later, I found an additional night was added to my charge card. The manager... More

We spent a Friday night at this property on our way to the Indy 500. The check in was seamless; staff provided a dinner recommendation which was exactly what we were looking for (Rack & Helen's in New Haven) and the breakfast was the scrumptious HIExpress selection which has never disappointed. Location right of the freeway; small town atmosphere while... More

We stayed at this hotel after traveling 7 1/2 hours to attend a family graduation party. We arrived and expected a speedy check in with friendly and knowledgeable staff. We arrived to quite the opposite experience. The check in process was very slow. Our paper work was not able to be found and staff had a difficult time with the... More

I booked a romance package to celebrate St Valentine. My husband and I enjoyed the jaccuzi, bottle of wine, and chocolate awating us in the room. We plan to return next year! All the staff has been very attentive to our every requests. Thanks More

The reason I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone is that they overcharged me. When I called to question the charge, the manager accused me of stealing two pillows and said I was responsible for paying for them. I didn't take the pillows, and it is extremely frustrating and infuriating that they can arbitrarily charge you for things that you... More

Exactly what you would expect from a HIEX: clean, comfortable beds, adequate space and better than average lighting. The plus here was the staff. We got a recommendation at the front desk for a local restaurant (not a chain) called Casa Grill and it was excellent. All the staff were friendly and eager to please. We will stay here again...
