I stayed at this hotel for a wedding in June. Upon my arrival, I was shocked to find out that all the hotel rooms were in different buildings. It turned out that the wedding part wasn't even booked at to be in the same building. We spent the whole weekend asking each other what building they were in. Coming from... More

We regret that this guest did not enjoy their stay in New Harmony. Our rooms are designed to suit the historic nature of the town and are decorated in authentic "shaker style." Our Hotel rooms are split between two buildings and guests are assigned rooms based on the type of room requested to suite their individual needs. We make every... More

We have been visiting New Harmony since the late 1990's and are thrilled that those things that initially drew us there are still there. The Inn is simply furnished with everything we need for a comfortable stay. Each room is unique and it's always a delight to discover which room we have for the current visit. The complimentary breakfast provides... More

We stayed overnight for a wedding. The Inn was completely booked, but they had the Duclos guest house available. It was located next to the Inn, and very convenient. Antique furnishings were in the house. We had one bedroom and 2 baths. There was a twin bed in a hallway, also. We enjoyed our stay although our bed was a... More

We are on day 10 of a road trip, and this place is a welcome, peaceful retreat. It's beautiful, with a lake and walking paths, swans. The room is pretty and the bed is comfortable. We had dinner in the attached restaurant, and it was delicious.

Sometimes, we need to get away and get a little inspiration. A walk in the woods and lake around the New Harmony Inn will provide food for thought, inspirational quotes and the reassuring knowledge that the idea of utopian communities still lives. The Shaker-styled rooms are lovely; the setting is peaceful. A walk through the historic buildings is very informative.... More

Very accommodating staff, clean rooms with nice ambiance. Good to excellent grounds. Doorways entrances need sweeping daily. Banquet staff truly polite and helpful. Golf cart rental is far far far too expensive. Landscaping needs art direction in the front of all buildings. Food good to very good. Ice tea is cloudy -- true sin for southern visitors. No one in... Was looking for a nice place close to Albion, IL. A few minutes drive took us to New Harmony. Even though I grew up nearby in Illinois I moved away 40 years ago and had never stayed here. That will not be the case any more. Already have a room for a wedding in July and would have stayed another... More

Visiting New Harmony in the off-season - March - things are pretty quiet. And for visitors from Australia, pretty cold! Yet the New Harmony Inn provided just the amenities and conditions to keep guests warm and comfortable; king-sized beds in spacious rooms with good clean bathroom. A satisfying continental breakfast is available in the Entry House Great Room. A more... More

Beautiful simple rooms, wonderful walking trails and grounds. Continental breakfast had usual fare plus fresh cantaloupe and hard boiled eggs in an inviting gathering area with a roaring fireplace. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable.

Very simple rooms with hardwood floors and simple shaker style furnishings. The rooms themselves are comfortable and nice, although fairly average in conveniences considering the above average price (a mini-fridge and microwave would be nice). It is the only hotel in town and fairly expensive but the town itself is an excellent destination and its worth it for a weekend... More
