While we did not stay at the Inn, we enjoyed a lovely dinner in the restaurant. The chef creates a seasonal menu focusing on locally sourced proteins and veggies (when available, which are almost all grown in the kitchen garden) so it is subject to change. We started with the Indiana cheese and charcuterie board. It was one of the... More

Such a lovely and quaint and elegant and relaxing place. Really old converted store with farm to table food. Duck was amazing as was Apple dessert and excellent wine. Went on a Sunday. Quiet night. Only issue. Server seemed to be in a hurry to clear plates etc. Not hard to find but dark narrow twisting road just south of... More

We have been to the Story Inn three years in a row. We absolutely love the place for it's old fashion charm. I've travelled a lot, and have never seen any place quite like Story. If you're into 4 star hotels with luxury accommodations, this place is not for you. If you're looking to leave the world behind and pretend... More

My husband and I enjoyed the backroads tour of Brown County. Many beautiful artists' homes and studios are dotted across the roads of Brown County. We bought handcrafted clocks and other beautiful handmade items. The Fall leaves glowed. We stopped for dinner in Story at the Story Inn. Very crowded with wedding guests attending a reception in the large barn.... More

We stayed in the famous Blue Lady room. While we did not see the ghost, we did thoroughly enjoy ourselves. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet. We appreciated that management had the help sweeping the back area rather than using a noisy blower the next morning. I took a bath in the big tub. This is... More

We held our annual family reunion at Nashville Indiana and decided to eat breakfast at the Story Inn the morning before we all went home. All 30 of us really enjoyed our breakfast. We highly recommend eating here if you are in the area.

If you are looking for a nice quiet place to retreat, this is the place for sure. Located just outside of Nashville, IN this little Inn is right in the middle of nowhere. You have to like old things as this place is full of them all very authentic and very well displayed. The rooms are remarkable, cozy and comfortable.... More

Our weekend at the Story Inn was full of great surprises! After traveling down winding country roads, we arrived at the Inn and felt like we stepped back into another time. We stayed at the Treaty House, which had all the modern amenities wrapped up into a quaint, unassuming perfect little house. My husband and I agreed that if it... More

Took my hubby for his bday had no idea what to expect. The food rivals the best of Indianapolis. Best omelette of my LIFE for breakfast next day. Will definitely be back! May be a little pricey, but worth every penny
