We loved this place! Quaint and charming little town. The restaraunt looks warm and inviting and the food was fabulous! Dinner was a little pricey but SO worth it! Breakfast was also wonderful! Our waitresses were so bubbly and sweet. We stayed in the Shultz (sp) hauz, and our room was cute and vintage with a fully remodeled new bathroom... More

This rustic, hard to find Inn is a photographer's dream! Lots of unusual artifacts strewn here and there about the property. The accommodations were rustic and quaint. The restaurant was very good which is important because there is no other restaurant close by. My husband and I really enjoyed our two night stay here.

My wife and I decided to stay in the town of Story Indiana,at the Story Inn. It's listed as one of the Haunted Inns in Indiana. This place was truly old, fascinating, and quaint. The Story Inn is exactly as described by their website. The accommodations were nice, and the staff very friendly. The Bar that is in the lower level is an excellent... More

We stayed here for a weekend get-away to Brown County. Since the Inn is right next to the state park, close to Nashville and only an hour from Bloomington it is in a good spot for all kinds of different sightseeing. This was a great spot for a couples getaway - the rooms are all unique, there aren't any TVs... More

Story Inn offers suprisingly upscale touches in their rustic bedrooms. At dinner both the food and the service rivaled any 5 star dining destination. I'm looking forward to the Victorian Christmas dinner.

We just got back from Brown County with a two night stay in the Treaty House at the Story Inn. No TV and no internet. Loved it!! We are both big readers and the quiet added to our enjoyment. I finished Gone Girl in two days. We even went skinny dipping in the hot tub. The highlight is the great... More

We have always enjoyed the Story Inn and so stopped by for lunch while in the area. Management was different. Atmosphere different. Waited 15-20 minutes for service. Waitress rude. She asked if we wanted to speak to Manager. Manager never came to speak with us. We won't be back.

We have stayed here on one other occasion and when we felt the need to escape for a weekend, Story Inn was a perfect option. We stayed in the Garrison compound and found it to be clean, comfortable and quiet though we could hear footsteps overhead. The gardens were beautiful and my wife came away with many ideas for my... This is one of my favorite places to eat and stay. It's wonderful to get away from the electronics, televisions, and cell phones and spend some quality time with my spouse. We've never stayed in the old general store because it's supposed to be haunted, but the other rooms have been large and impressive for such a remote area. Lots... More

I've known about the Story Inn for years and have been wanting to stay there for quite awhile. The long Memorial Day weekend, coupled with my need for quiet and the outdoors, was the perfect excuse to book a room for two nights at the Story Inn. On Saturday, I went on a 5 mile hike at Gnaw Bone Camp... More
