We were NOT impressed, and will not stay there again. When we 1st entered the room I was struck by the darkness of the room. Even with all the lamps on, it was still VERY dark. There was wood paneling along 1 whole wall, with evidence that something (a decorative piece of wood?) had been removed. There was also a... More

My husband and I decided we would stay at the BCI because we're from the area and recently moved away. We wanted to stay close to town so we could walk and enjoy the shops. That was on positive. Location was decent. Not much can be done by that. Room smelled musty and moldy when we walked in. We tried... More

A group of friends and I wanted to get away for the weekend and stay somewhere away from the busyness of Bloomington or Indianapolis. We had heard great things about Nashville and thought we would give it a try. We got there knowing that the rooms had an older feel to it, which was nice for a change of pace.... More

Today my husband and I drove down to Nashville to do alittle shopping and to have lunch. We decided to eat lunch here.We knew they served fried bisquits and apple butter, one of our favorites when we go to Brown County. The restaurant was dark and drab.We have been coming there for years and I do believe the decor is the same.Huge... More

Grandma and Grandpa wanted a room while the rest of the family camped. Well, we didn't get a restful sleep the whole time because the air-conditioner worked CONSTANTLY, blowing cold air on us. Turning it off was not an option. The bedding was such that the fitted sheets didn't stay fitted. Bathroom was clean. Carpeting needed to be freshened. Beautiful... More

We had stayed at the Brown County Inn 7 or 8 years ago and it was exactly the same as it was then. This property looks the same as it probably did when it opened for business. The food in the restaurant was very good though and the grounds did offer shuffleboard, horseshoes and 9 holes of putt putt golf plus a nice... If you plan to go to Brown County and you have allergies to mold and dirt avoid this Inn. Thank goodness for Lysol or I would have left right after registering. The carpet did not look like it had seen a vacum in a very long time and the dirt in the corners was an inch thick. I have been... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Brown County Inn. The last time I stayed there was in 1994. The problem was they have not update the decor in 20 years! The room was dark and dingy with the wood paneling. The tan wallpaper with a flower border across the top was so dated! On the plus-side the food... More

Rustic and cozy with great food. Inside and outside, the decor is of antiques and wood. The food is great. The rooms are just average, but you won't want to stay in the room with such a great dining room and lounge, and the landscaped exterior invites you to sit outside and enjoy the flowers and birds.

My wife and I recently booked a two night stay at Brown County Inn. We will not go back. We asked for a non-smoking room and it was obvious the room had been smoked in. Our neighbors were in a non-smoking room also but that didn't keep their cigarette smoke from billowing under the door that connected out two rooms.... More
