This was our 13th time there (we go every Christmas). We missed last year due to weather. This will be and was our LAST time there. Place is going downhill fast. Was given the breakfast and dinner vouchers except that the breakfast did not exist. The restaurant was closed for dine in service. When I inquired about a $10 refund... More

Inn dates to prior to Mid-20th Century (I believe 1920s), with some updates, but it is what it is...a state park inn. The Inn itself predates WPA construction (extensive) in multiple Indiana parks, has been added to multiple times. Features an indoor mini-water park for kids. If a significant portion of your stay is the facility, go elsewhere. But if... More

Wife said, "I'm not getting naked on this bed." Anniversary trip and the wife found pubic hairs on the bed and floor right away when we got to our room. It had a terrible chemical odor and bad musty museum smell also. We left right away and went to the Comfort Inn down the road, very nice hotel and the... More

very old - and they had some kind of fragrance that is over powering - sheets came off bed while we slept - very uncomfortable- the only good thing is we were on the first floor and was able to park in front of our room and bring our stuff through the patio door - we were told that breakfast... Room old and furniture dirty. Bathroom dirty with hair all over floor. Glass Sliding Door filthy. Carpet dirty and old. Old coffee grounds and filter left in coffee pot. Free wi-fi but did not work and required password they did not have. Management was no help in addressing concerns. Too expensive for condition of room.

When we arrived there was what appeared to be feces stuck to the side of the toilet. There were hairs on the floor and in the tub (they were NOT from us as we had just arrived). There was not a fitted sheet on the queen side bed so we spent the night either straightening the flat sheet or lying... More

The Inn is very outdated and in desperate need of remodeling, the bathrooms, carpets, tv, and dressers are very old. Given what they have to work with the staff does well to keep the units clean. The breakfast buffet had limited choices. The lounge at night was fun. The price was high for what you were paying for.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2014

I'd echo the review "Girls Getaway" after our stay in November, 2014. If you can' find some of the coupons for "stay one night, get next night free", it is quite a bargain. It is a very clean inn . Mattress pads attached to mattress would perhaps reduce being swallowed by the sheets as you turned over. The pool is... More

My wife and I and another couple reserved rooms with the Sweetheart Package for the night of October 28. We arrived in Nashville around 1 p.m. and just stopped by the Inn to see what time our rooms would be ready, expecting it to be around 3 p.m. To our delight both rooms were ready and we were able to... We stayed for a girls getaway for one night (Thursday, October 2014) at the Brown County Inn in Nashville, Indiana. I ready a lot of less than positive reviews but the price was right ($99) and it was at the end of the shopping venue street, which made for a great location. One room, two queen size beds on the...
