It's a state park but a lot of fun. The family cabin was great even in the winter. The camp stove in the living room was fabulous! Nice people, good prices, great fun. Thanks, everyone at the lodge you were very kind. More

Our family has been enjoying the Abe Martin Lodge every January for 24 years. Each year gets a little more disappointing. First, out-of-state cars MUST pay a $7.00 state park entrance fee EVEN if you have a hotel confirmation in your hand. The food at the lodge was not good; hamburgers, chicken marinara. Very few of the hot breakfast buffet... More

I think that if you purchase a break at a State park, then you clearly have at least a little clue of what to expect. If you whine about the lack of Internet, phone signal, broken DVD player, or a "tube TV" (I found that comment laughable) then you have completely missed the point. This is a state park. The... More

This hotel was nice since i paid 1/2 price. The pool was always OVERCROWDED but nice. However, it was very inconveniently closed 15min out of every hour. The property was also severely short on QUIET SITTING AREAS. Not a bad place when on sale...but I would be disappointing if I paid full-price. GREAT COFFEE available 24hours! More

Not for everyone. We stayed in the lodge. The decor and fixtures are dated, particularly the bathrooms. It could be a little cleaner, and the staff seemed to be composed entirely of teenagers. Service was spotty. The food at the restaurant was lousy; go elsewhere to eat. The fact that it's a state-run facility was often obvious. Still, we had... More

I stay at the Abe Martin Lodge in Brown County State Park almost every fall. I usually stay in one of the rustic cabins, which are not for everyone. There is no TV or telephone in the cabin rooms, but they have recently put microwaves and refrigerators in them. My Verizon cellphone has service in the cabins, in the inn,... More

We stayed here several times when visiting daughter while she attended IU in Bloomington, (25 minutes away). There is a learning curve with this lodge, but once you get it figured out, it is a fine value in a very special state park. First visit, we ended up in the main lodge in a room just off the main recreation... More

I went with my family (12 of us) and we had a good time. I stayed at lodge and it was nice till we saw crumbs in the bed, under the pillow. (maybe it was cookie crumbs)? It just tells me that they did not change the sheets. We did tell the front desk and someone brought us some sheets....just... More

The room is your classic state park lodge. Rustic look, but clean. Our room had a mini fridge and flat screen tv. They have a mini indoor water park that is quite nice. One slide, hot tube and a winding river. the pool also has an area for the little kids. My only complaint is the lodge food. It is... More

We made reservations to stay at Abe Martin for our child's fall break back in January or February of this year and we're very glad we did! The leaves were beautiful and it was a great time to hike and shop. The waterpark is always a good place to play later in the day when the daylight is waning. We... More
