We spent one night in Kalibaru cottages hotel surrounded by a plantation of cafe and coconut trees The swimming pool is very nice and the bedrooms quite big with an open bathroom: The shower does not have a roof above it: This is very common in Indonesia: It's cool to be able to shower watching the stars :) but on... We stayed for 2 nights in October . On arrival we went to our room and it had not been cleaned from the last guest. Even when cleaned there was hair on the floor. We had a VIP room which was at best standard. The pool was filthy. The tiles covered in slime and the pool grout black. The restaurant... More

The hotel is reasonably clean. there are not many restaurants nearby so you will most likely have to eat in this place. the dinner was ok but not fancy. The cottages are nice from the outside but could be modernized on the inside. While the bedroom is clean, the open air showers are a source of mosquito's, ants and other... More

Looks lovely with lots of bungalows scattered around pretty gardens. Room large & very comfortable. Great partial outdoor shower. Decent pool but not enough sunbeds around it for the number of guests using it. Staff don't have any idea about service - no smiles & everything seems like too much trouble. There is wifi with excellent signal in rooms but... More

We heard about this place from my brother, a guide who takes Dutch tourists on overland tours from Jakarta all the way to Bali. What attracted us was his mention of a plantation at Krikilan in Kalibaru, owned by a Mrs. Harnik. Here they have created a small area as a "mini, sampler plantation", where guests can see all kinds... More

The hotel is organised in cottages. They are like little house with a patio outside. The room is big and the bathroom is particular with a semi-open shower and flowers in it. There's a pool and lot of green. A big reception where you can connect to wifi. The restaurant serves indonesian and international food. The only defect: he hotel... More

Great! Amazing room and cool bathroom with partially outdoor shower. Comfortable beds, free water, and lovely buffet breakfast. Helpful staff, especially Faru who was also our guide for Ijen, we had such a laugh with him! The restaurant food was generally good, we loved the western breaded chicken and also the chicken satay and bakmi goreng. However, it didn't seem... More

We stayed in this awesome property for two nights. What a location and the place. Good buffet breakfast, however that is the only advantage of this hotel. It is very much understandable once you are here you have to depend on their restaurant as there are hardly anything around as town center is almost five km away. We don't mind... More

The individual bungalows were lovely with your own terrace and chairs. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Beds very comfortable and a lovely spacious semi outside shower / bathroom. Great shower. Couldn't really fault the accommodation, the beautifully manicured gardens and the lovely swimming pool. The sun beds were pretty uncomfortable so they need to provide cushions really. The staff were really... More

As part of a trip through Java and Bali we stayed one night at this hotel. For European standards this is a 3 star hotel. The rooms are actually cottages, well maintained and clean. They are equipped with a well functioning AC, television and nice "outside" shower. Main improvement would be the restaurant. I'm not too sure about the dinner,... More
