Jan at the Feallock House is such a great host! This adorable B&B is nestled in a neighborhood of Michigan City. We were a bit disappointed with Michigan City itself, a bit of a 'could-be' city, even a little bit of a ghost town... But that's not the subject of this review!
The Feallock House is a beautiful house that has been completely restored and renovated. Read the history on their website, and if you stay, Jan is a WEALTH of information about the history of the house, its owners and guests, and about the history of Michigan City itself.
- Rate: Her normal rate is $129, not the $79 that TripAdvisor has posted for her. She gave a slight discount since we booked 2 nights, so we paid $115. She only accepts cash upon check-in.
- Rooms: We stayed in the front bedroom, the Lewis Room, and it was beautiful. There was a nice window letting in the breeze, a sitting area, fireplace, desk & closet area... We toured the other rooms. They all were a little nicer...

My fiance and I stayed at Feallock House this past August. It is beautifully decorated and the oldest historic house in Michigan City having been built in 1866. It is very relaxing with a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The hosts make you feel immediately at home. Friendly doesn't begin to say enough, you will feel as though you've known them all your life, and you'll be a little sad to leave them. Jan makes a killer gourmet breakfast, and it's just lovely to have tea on the veranda. The are centrally located, 8 blocks from the marina, 2 blocks from the outlet mall, near to all kinds of attractions and your hosts know all the best spots to send you no matter what your interest. There are private or shared baths, whichever you prefer, some with a claw-foot tub, some rooms have four poster beds, all are beautiful and have a theme. Parking is secured and private and best of all Free! You cannot go wrong with this choice of bed and breakfast. Melissa more
