Very nice older one story motel. Family owned and operated, with friendly owners. We had a spacious room with two beds and a refrigerator. The room and grounds were clean and attractive. With good proximity to area attractions and beaches.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. For a low price, we got a room with 2 queen beds, and a separate room with two twin beds. Fridge and coffee machine too. Everything was nice and clean. Wireless worked. Location is pretty close to the train we took into Chicago for a day trip. The people who worked the desk... More

We LOVED that they hadn't mucked up their historic exterior, as the motel down the street appears to be in the process of doing. In fact, we were a bit disappointed that we ended up in the only room that didn't have its original door! So nice to see these motor inns preserved. The interior of the rooms have been... More

It was a great motel, pool in the back off the road. Rooms were clean and large complete with a frig. It was nice after a day of travelling and sightseeing to be able to sit outside our room and enjoy a quiet evening, something you can't get in a hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a very nice motel! If we decide to stay in Michigan City we definitely would stay here again. The room was comfortable and clean, no weird smells, quiet and everything was freshly remodeled. It was in a great proximity to all the activities we wanted to do, the beach, Lighthouse Outlet Mall, the Michigan City Zoo, Blue Chip... More

If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay, this is a good choice. Not much for frills, but the room was clean and quiet and the grounds well kept. This is a true motor lodge like I remember as a kid. The door even used a real key! Nice trip down memory lane.

Stayed here once again over the 4th weekend. Hanging out by the pool & grilling was the highlight. Great location and the hotel is awesome with remodeled rooms. The owners are quite accommodating to all your needs and very friendly and nice. Great rates and I highly recommend this place to all! I will be back next week!

Stayed with a group of friends as part of a bicycle ride / Michigan City pub crawl weekend. Location is great just off the Calumet Trail which is north of the motel on the other side of the tracks. This is a vintage motel, built in the 1950's, a nice change from the cookie cutter chains which dominate the landscape... More

Al and Sally's is an old style drive up motor hotel with refurbished clean and comfortable rooms for a bargain price. We were pleased. However, what was really extraordinary was how the owners went out of their way to accommodate our two bicycles and to send me a favorite pair of boots that I left behind. If you want a... More

Very clean room, obviously recently remodeled, comfy bed. Everything you might need - flat panel TV with cable, refrigerator, coffee maker. The couple managing the motel were friendly and attentive to our needs and questions. And about $50 for the night - what a deal!
