I travel with my wife and we go to various casinos around the mid-west and also Vegas. I have stayed at the Argosy several times and while reading the reviews have come to one conclusion...People are far to picky! Here is a honest review based on my travels and experiences elsewhere. The Valet. Valet Parking is easy and quick, but... more

This was my first trip to the Argosy hotel and casino and while the hotel was nice, the casino was severly lacking. The new parking garage made getting to the casino a breeze, get out of the car, head to the elevator and it will take you to the 5th floor where you could get to the casino after about... more

Stayed over night at the Argosy on 9/7/08 to celebrate a Birthday and our anniversary. Tried to book online that morning but rooms were sold out, but when we arrived and went to the desk to sign up for our Preferred rewards cards, they handed us a coupon to stay that night. I was suprised as the rooms online were... more

My hubby and I spent one night here recently. We contacted the hotel online and made our reservation. We paid $189 plus tax making the room around $209 total. First the positives: the hotel lobby was quaint, clean. The staff at the desk were always eager to help and smiling. There was free 24 hr coffee in the lobby with... more

Since this hotel is the closest of three casino hotels in Indiana the effectively serve the greater Cincinnati area I assumed it would be a nice motel 6 sort of place attached to the casino. I was surprised to find the hotel to be very very nice. The rooms are very nice, similar to a RITZ room. The bathroom is... more

Last year we stopped at the Argosy casino, and thought it was great. This year we decided to stop there again, and also get a room if they were reasonable. Well, they were $99 on weeknights, and because we were over 55, the rate also included a buffet breakfast. Everything was just great. Rooms were very nice, casino is a... more

Very convenient for a night's stay after gambling. Buffets are adequate but quality is not continuous. Sometimes certain dishes are prepared well and other times the very same dish is not so good. Arrive early and be sure to ask for a room AWAY from the train tracks. You'll be awakened early if you are on the track side. The... more

As a whole, the place was nice, but don't be one of the last people to check in at night... I ended up with an awful smoking room that was basically on top of a railroad. I was woken up every 2 hours by a train that sounded like it was coming right for me! Tell them your preferences at... more

We recently stayed at the Argosy Hotel & Casino. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Everyone and I mean everyone was pleasant and would greet you when you saw them. The room was average size with coffeemaker & iron. It was clean and housekeeping came daily. We ate at the Seafood Buffet and it was wonderful with great service.... more
