We loved the location. The staff were all friendly. We arrived and the lady at the desk, took us on the tour of the hotel. She explained everything there was from the uses of the keys, to the breakfast area, to the restaurant next door. Our room was wonderful. the place was very clean! Love that the view faced the... I just wanted to thank the great staff at the blue heron inn. We just got back from staying there this weekend during the gathering of the orange. We have 4 kids and all of the hotels there could not accommodate us to stay any where it was 2 rooms we would have to rent way to much for us.... More

I read all the bad reviews on this place but today we visited and rented a pontoon boat from them for fishing on Pine Lake. They charge $175 per day, about a hundred dollars cheaper than anyone else. While it is true their boats are old, they run fine, and we had a ball fishing and boating around. The boat... More

This was a gem to find. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a ground floor room with a lake view. The room was very large, and very clean, with a comfortable bed. Great water pressure in the shower, and a nice jacuzzi tub. A hot breakfast was included, and was probable the best breakfast I experienced... More

I spent two nights here with my husband the last weekend of June. I really enjoyed our stay, overall. Staff were great, restaurant/bar was good, breakfast was ok. I'd live to come back again! Oy complainants: pool area could use a cleaning, absolutely no water pressure (toilet wouldn't even hardly flush), and I wish the bar would be open later.... More

My husband and I chose this place because we wanted to visit the antique shops in LaPorte and surrounding towns. We chose one of the lakeside rooms with both a fireplace and a spa in the room. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom, and the nice furnishings. We were on the third floor and... More

This review is based on comparing it to a Cabin... like in Chain O Lakes, not the Conrad. This is not the Conrad. :-) First off... it moves. it moves a lot during the day, less at night (boat traffic is down) but even when you walk around... and it makes some noise. It is clean, but shows signs of... More

I'd like to begin by saying that on my 60 years on Earth, I may've complained 2 or 3 times total. I know that things happen, and 99.9% of the time, I accept them as part of life and move on. Here's what we experienced this past weekend: When we made a reservation (Approximately 3 weeks ahead of time) ,... More

"Blue Heron / Red Herring" "NIGHTMARE ON LAKESIDE STREET!" With out a doubt the worst experience in a business in my life in an industry that is supposed to be based on hospitality. Thank God, the unstable, volatile owner doesn't work for the Post Office if you know what I mean! The owner's ranting and verbal assault left my daughter... More

This place has a lot of potential. It's right on Pine Lake and if you choose the right room, you can get a great view of the lake at a reasonable price. That is exactly what my husband and I did a couple years ago - we made a reservation for a specific room that we were told we could... More
