This is the most lovely B & B. The hosts are very sweet and accommodating to our needs. We are a small Theatre company and were passing through on our way to Iowa. It was the perfect stopping point and once we arrived we realized that Bluestem is a destination point more than just a stopover.

I loved the elegance and flow of the master suite. The bathroom was perfect and breakfast delightful wonderful day relaxing was welcomed. And there is even a cute stuffed Lamb I named Chops. The space was inviting and open, I enjoyed every single second at Bluestem. From the moment of arrival Christine was welcoming and her home charming to say... More

Our weekend get away involved the New Buffalo, MI 2013 Wine Festival. We looked at several places to stay in New Buffalo, but could not find anything that matched the value and beauty of Bluestem B&B. It is unique in that it only offers 1 suite for rent. While I don't mind mingling with other guests, it was great to... More

After two nights camping at the beautiful nearby Warren Dunes State Park, we welcomed hot showers, comfortable beds piled with blankets and delicious home cooked local food. Christina and Jose provided all that and good conversation. My sons, 13 and 9 years old, enjoyed exploring the grounds and learning about raising hens. Christina and Jose are very interesting to speak... More

We stayed at the Bluestem while in the process of delivering our daughter to Notre Dame. Being away from the hustle and bustle of the campus in South Bend gearing up for another year was a real plus for us. My wife and daughter found the bed very comfortable, and I was more than happy with the sofa/bed in the... More

We had a lovely and relaxing time at the Bluestem. Christine and Jose were gracious hosts and Christine's cooking was just as wonderful as other reviewers have indicated. The breakfasts were delicious and everyone in the family enjoyed them thoroughly. I especially enjoyed all the attention to detail in the house (the property as well). You could tell its' restoration... More

we stayed one night at Bluestem and had a great stay. Our hosts were wonderful, breakfast was delicious, and if you like photography, Christine and Jose own much of the nearby grounds, which were a photographers dream to take pictures of. We would definitely stay again if our travels took us back to Laporte.

Christine cooks the most delicious omelet I have ever eaten. The organic eggs are very tasty and she made us feel right at home. The location is great and the rooms were so clean. Thank you for a great weekend!
