We went there this weekend to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. The cottage is set on a pretty piece of land and we were greeted by the host's dog and 2 lambs! Rebecca was a good host and gave us the privacy we were after. She was also very flexible on the check in and out times as there were... More

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Miners Cottage to celebrate your anniversary. We love our magic spot too. The missed cobweb was passed onto our cleaner, thank you for the feedback. The closest wineries and attractions are less than10 mins and there are plenty within 15 mins. A 30 minute drive will take you to the other side... More

The old Miners Cottage is a gem. Located in a peaceful, beautiful part of the Barossa Valley, it's perfect for relaxing between vineyard visits and day trips around the Adelaide hills. The host are warm, welcoming and helpful. Everything was set up to make our own breakfasts, complete with home made jams and fresh bread (courtesy of the bread machine).... More

I spent 3 nights at The Miners Cottage with my husband over the New Year break. The cottage is beautiful and absolutely charming. All the amenities you need for a relaxing break. We spent hours sitting in the back veranda just watching the birds and butterflies fluttering around - I can't remember the last time I got to do that.... More

Five girl friends travelling from Sydney to celebrate birthdays couldn't have been happier with this choice of accommodation. The peaceful surrounds out of town are perfect to relax and unwind in. It's a unique set up staying in a remarkable piece of history with all the creature comforts provided. The breakfast provisions were amazing - fruit, eggs, yoghurt, juice, bacon,... More

We were looking for romantic, somewhat secluded accom, on bushland with a bath!!.. We lucked in with this cutey! Old world charm in a peaceful valley: open fire, crisp sheets and a must read gourmet traveller-spanish edition set the scene for relaxing respite from the rigours of tasting the penfolds grange hermitage and the degustation at apelation! Bon apetite and... More

We went there last weekend and it is a beautiful spot. Lovely views and a quaint cottage. Good breakfast provisions too and they even turned on the bread makers for us - how lovely to have freshly baked bread in the morning! The toilet is a step outside of the room - we didn't mind it terribly though. The kitchen... More

It is a lovely cottage but does need lot of TLC - there is a difference between "old rustic charm" and "letting things go". The Bathroom was not very clean and also in general the outside area needs a good clean and removal of the old cane chairs outside - not very inviting. The area itself is delightful - but... More

Wow! What an amazing little find and well kept secret the Miners Cottage is! This was our first trip to the Barossa as the parents were over from the UK. What a fabulous weekend away - we left our buzzing, busy lives in Sydney and had a relaxing couple of days in the Barossa. Rebecca was the perfect host -... More

This is the first review for Rebecca and Nick since taking over the property. We visited for a long weekend with two other couples for a group getaway to the Barossa, and it was a fantastic trip. The perfect location to unwind with good friends and great Barossa wine. Rebecca met us upon our arrival and showed us around the... More

The fire was blazing when I arrived, a fresh baked loaf of bread, a large bowl of sausages/bacon/tomatoes, fresh eggs, a good selection of of jams, lollies, tasty port, chocolates, what more do you need? After returning from the Barossa on the second afternoon, the fire had been lit and was blazing once again to warm us up on arrival.... More
