i stayed here because it's a convenient location to downtown sites and the hotwire rate was $65. otherwise i would never pay higher rates for this hotel. it's design is poor- why build a luxury hotel next to train tracks? my room rattled and rumbled every time a train went by. it wasn't real loud because i requested a room... more

My husband, myself and my parents stayed at this hotel for one night before a visit to the King Tut exhibit at the Children's Museum. My husband and I booked a regular room for $119, while my parents selected a train car for $130 (these prices did not include the $25 parking fee). My husband and I did not have... more

The train car rooms were fabulous which makes for a truly memorable experience. I had my reservations at first, but this definately beat staying in a traditional hotel room. The rooms were very clean, roomy and had a charm to them. The hotel's location is great; easy to walk to any downtown Indy attraction. I would also recommend the Plaza... more

This is a strange hotel, with one set of elevators in the middle and a long walk to rooms on either end. Most rooms do not have windows to the outside, but rather windows to the inner atrium. Those with rooms to the outside are on either end of the narrow hotel. On our end, the window overlooked the tear-down... more

This place was a joke! I cant believe anyone would pay the actual nightly rate for this hotel. Its way out of date and living on the fumes of being a formerly "classy" hotel. The room was dingy, dirty and stuck in the past. Dont even get me started with the Internet! Internet didnt work and the "engineer" who came... more

Ever since my wife and I moved to Indianapolis in 2004, we've wanted to stay in a train car at the Crowne Plaza hotel. "What," you say? The Crowne Plaza occupies the city's old train station (I love seeing old buildings repurposed and preserved) and as part of that, they have a number of guest rooms available in train cars.... more

We reserved a two night stay with our two young boys, 5 and 7. Arriving at the hotel was great. Excellent location, incredibly hospitable staff, valet, front desk, bellman. We reserved a "pullman car room" thinking the kids would enjoy it. And they did. For about five minutes. The room was adorably SMALL. The young man at the front desk... more

This hotel is close to many great restaurants, bars, and shopping. Hotel staff was very nice. The people in the room next to us kept sitting out in the hallway and were extremely loud. The walls in the hotel rooms are paper thin and you can definitely hear the train come through. Not bad for the location and price though. more

I have always loved staying at the Crown Plaza chain, because of its service and the rooms. Crown Plaza Indianapolis offers similar qualities to its other chain hotels. The location is great and the staffs were very friendly. The room was quite spacious. The hotel is located in the historical Union Station, which makes it architecturally more interesting than others.... more
