I was surprised by this Days Inn. Most of them are fine, if cheap, but as a single traveling business woman, I was very uncomfortable, and left to find new lodging.
The staff was pleasant enough, and the lobby area was clean, if outdated, but the halls were dingy and the rooms weren't particularly clean, either. The room itself was large and had a sink and refrigerator area outside the bathroom. There was a sofa and a good-sized table and chairs, also. The lighting was overhead flourescent lighting, which didn't do anything for the appeal.
The sofa, carpet, and other upholstered surfaces were stained and worn, and the refrigerator in the room was broken. My non-smoking room smelled smoky, as well.
However, it was the primarily the hotel's other clientele, which, from what I saw, was primarily male, either in groups or alone, which made me nervous. I travel alone, so I'm very conscious of being one of a few women in a hotel.
