Enjoyed a reasonable and quiet two night stay at the Super 8 in Goshen, In. The desk clerk was nice and helpful directing us to the Essenhaus in Middlebury for dinner. The lobby was nice and doubled as the breakfast area which when served was adequate. Our room was clean and the beds comfortable. Carpeting, bedding and decor looked newer... more

Last minute micro-vacation, a summer's day at Shipshewana... didn't want to spend the whole day driving round trip from Indy so decided a last-minute overnighter made sense. After reading the May 2007 review, I was very ready to cancel our reservation. In fact, I called the hotel to make sure our credit card was not charged until we saw the room. We were recently booked at the Travelodge in Goshen, but when we saw the outside of the hotel and entered the lobby (which had a very bad smell), we decided instead to cancel our reservation and try the Super 8 down the road (which looked very nice from Hwy 33).
