We recently stayed at one of the historic downtown cottages to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday and I have to say if you appreciate old craftsman architecture with modern amenities in a property that is centrally located, then this is the place for you. A beautiful restoration of the old hardwood floors and integration of modern features made for an... More

We stayed at Serendipity and it was perfect as a meeting place for the family and friends who were there for our son's wedding. Plenty of room to hang out and it was great to be able to eat breakfast on our own time tables and have a fridge handy for snacks and drinks. It was a great deal for... More

As a group of seven, we had the entire house. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a large dining room table to gather for eating, games or just chatting. Two of the bedrooms upstairs share a bath which was no problem since we all knew each other. Because of the time of year, we did not get to enjoy... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Artists Inn last November. The owner, Vesta, was incredibly accommodating and indulged our many questions about the house and French Lick. The home is the oldest in French Lick... I believe it was built in 1842 if my memory serves me correctly. The decor is quaint and comfortable, and if you... More

I stayed at the Artists' Inn with a group a friends in October. The Inn advertises three bathrooms, one on the main floor. What it doesn't say is that the bathroom on the main floor has a claw foot bathtub that must not work. It was filled with half dead fern plants. Being physically handicapped, I had checked ahead of... More

Stayed at the Artists' Inn for a girlfriends' weekend at the end of October. Since there were five of us, we rented the whole place. We were very disappointed in the condition of the house. It needs a good cleaning. When we arrived, we found a filthy rag on the kitchen counter and one of the toilets had been used... More

The Artists Inn & Cottages is a wonderful place to stay for a weekend or weekday getaway. The accomodations and location was perfect for being in the heart of French Lick. Would definitely go back to this fabulous place.

A friend and I stayed at the Artist Inn recently and shared the Louella's Garden room at the Inn. The first thing to know is the Inn has a shared bath upstairs. On the Inns web page it doesn't speak of private baths being provided, but it doesn't speak of three rooms sharing one bath either. I find this somewhat... More

Be aware -- you pay for these rooms and cottages up front. If you are dissatisfied, there is no refund. They get your money no matter what. For the cost, you are better off staying at The Comfort Inn or French Lick Resort. The cottage was "somewhat" clean. The surroundings are old and cared for minimally -- there is no... More
