I was going to be in the area for a few days so I went to the Harrah's web site to see if they had anything in the area and I got lucky-- the Horseshoe is a Harrah's property. If you are a frequent gambler or traveler start going to Harrah's properties! I was comped a room for three nights... more

It was are first time going to the casino, I was treating my husband for our anniversary. We arrived, the lobby was packed, the employee talked so fast that I didn't hear everything they said. Thank God my husband was there to tell me about the mini bar before I picked anything up! Anyway they give us a room with... more

The only thing that keeps me from giving this hotel five stars is the quality and the price of the food. The hotel itself was spotless and the rooms were very nice. The front desk staff were exceptional. We were meeting family there for a mini reunion and they gave us adjoining rooms up on the tenth floor. Nice view... more

I really do not understand all the bad reviews about the Horseshoe Casino. This was my first time staying here after the change to Horseshoe Casino. I was able to check in early (because a previous engagement was canceled). The staff was great and friendly. I had lunch and Dinner at the Villa Buffet and each time was good. Good... more

The walls of the hotel rooms are very thin and you can hear EVERYTHING that is going on in the rooms next to yours. Just remember this if you are planning a romantic getaway. more

The horseshoe is not the swankiest hotel, but I've found it to be comparable to a Hyatt or any other 3 or 4 star hotel in the midwest. But, I come here to gamble... so.... If you like to play VP, this is the most player-friendly place I know of in the midwest. The bartenders I've encountered have all been... more

I have been a Diamond Club member for years and stayed at this property well over 50 times. This past Friday we stayed. Upon checking out, we found that our $50.00 deposit could not be released to us until someone physically checked the "cash bar". Apparently there are sensors on this bar that no one warns you of. When we... more

Played for 1 Hour and could not find a waitress to get me a coffee...The Buffet line was enormous due to a free buffet offer..We ate at Legends which was very good and decided to eat there the next night (Monday)..It was closed..There is a upside to this..There are plenty of slots to play, albeit tight slots, because everybody was... more

Its been over a year since I've found time to visit the Casino across the River from Louisville. It was formerly branded as Ceasars and now is branded as Horseshoe (business strategy apparently). I read many of the reviews here before traveling and was a bit disturbed. After my visit, I have to disagree with negative reviews. I was there... more

Hate to complain about a comp room, but there was dirty underware & socks left in the bathroom. Had a room on the tenth floor by the noisy ice-machine. Drunks beating on the doors all night. Children (or the drunks) running the hallways. more
