Coming from New Jersey we pass through Central Illinois/Indiana about once a year for a whirlwind visit with many, many relatives. This year we were graciously treated to a 3-day stay at this lovely, peaceful, and, yes, very welcoming b&b located a short drive from Covington and Danville. We could have been in a stately stone manor house in the rolling hills of western New Jersey's "horse country." The house is beautiful, sunny and comfortable with soothing views of woods, fields, and horses frollicking in the adjoining stables. Steve is a gracious and friendly host, and the breakfast is delicious without going overboard. The gift shop is a great blend of midwestern charm and California artsy-ness. I'd love to come in warm weather when we could take in that garden and pond, as well. It is a great place to begin and end a long day of "visiting." more
