I would recommend not staying in room 6 of this hotel. All of the furnishings are new - but there is no sound insulation in the walls which surprised me for a newer hotel. I've rarely if ever had problems with HGI hotels. This was no exception. It's right off the interstate, but the only restaurant nearby is a Bob Evans (the hotel doesn't serve lunch, BTW). I had no complaints about the hotel itself. more

This Hilton Garden Inn is a good place to stay for someone wanting to be hear Chicago. It is as close to the interstate as you can get. It is also just 9 miles north of a great Spanish restaurant in Valparaiso called Don Quijote. The rooms are comfortable but the breakfast buffet was not too good. more

Absolutely the best service we've ever experienced. Maria, the night clerk on Fri evening, 4/27, even went so far as to print out directions AND the menu from a restaurant we asked about.
