Well maintained older building. Being on the street was ok until a local redneck drives through at 2 AM. Breakfast was comparable to other B&B's. Owner nice but had a grumpy side. Going to use a credit card?....be ready for a 'can I charge you $5 extra' request for 'fees' when you use.... Seriously??!!

I recently spent one night at the Lantz House Inn in Centerville. The building itself is a wonderful old building built in the early 1800's by, according to the owner, the man who built Conestoga wagons back in that time. My room was very comfortable and clean. The lavatory/shower facilities were modern and attractive; the rest of the room was... More

We would agree with the other review--the house is lovely, the rooms comfortable and beautifully decorated, books and art everywhere. We enjoyed the breakfasts. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet except for an annoying loud sound from the bathroom fan, which was easily turned off. The fly in the ointment was the smell of cigarette smoke--it was not... More

Truly enjoyable stay at the Lantz House. Innkeeper, Marcia is a warm and gracious host . Enjoyed tea and cookies in the late afternoon and was treated to a delicious breakfast-her Lemon Ricotta pancakes were light and yummy! The room/bed was quite comfortable, furnishings-authentic and tasteful! Would highly recommend any one traveling to Earlham College to stay with Marcia-very inviting... More
