My sisters and I take my mother on a trip every year for her birthday. This year we decided to visit French Lick Iniana. Not knowing where to stay and wanting to make it special for my mom I decided on a B & B. What a great choice. We arrived late to the James Wilkins House, but Diane greeted... more

Called ahead and specifically asked if we would have our own bathroom and was assured by the owner that we would. Arrived to find that another couple had booked the night before and we now had to share what we the one bathroom available to those staying there. (We were lead to believe there was more than one bathroom.) There... more

Not only is James Wilkins House one of the most beautiful houses I've ever seen, but the experience was first rate. Offering the best breakfast around and the most helpful service. We enjoyed our entire stay and everything was absolutely perfect! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! more

My husband & I were able to spend a night at the James Wilkins House & we are so very glad we didn't miss this lovely old victorian home. We have stayed at many B&B's, but this one was the most authentic victorian bed & breakfast we have ever visited. Thanks to Diane, such a gracious host and the owner... more

Had a very good stay. It was a girls getaway and there was plenty of space to spread out and play games, listen to music and just to hang out. Food was wonderful, both for dinner and breakfast and there was no shortage of snacks! Diane was always right there if we needed anything. more

Diane was a gracious hostess. She even told us about a free ice cream social her town was having the day we arrived. We went to the party and met the townsfolk and everyone was nice and friendly. Diane is a great cook and breakfast was wonderful. more

We celebrated our 15th anniversary at the James Wilkins House. Diane, the innkeeper, made the whole stay extra special. We enjoyed learning about the history the beautiful house. Whenever we wanted privacy,Diane was not to be found giving us that special time alone. The food was delicious and the picnic lunch she made for us was the best picnic lunch... more

Very clean, well-kept B&B. Nicely furnished. Breakfast hearty and delicious. Bed very small and uncomfortable. Shared bath. Bathtub small and hand-held wand a bit cumbersome - hinders a quick shower. Owner delightful and friendly. more

We were headed to our first Derby and could not find accommodations in Louisville. We had contacted a B&B in Louisville who kindly directed us to James Wilkins House. James Wilkins House is within an easy hour drive to Churchill Downs. It was so wonderful to get away from the noise and activity in Louisville after the race and be... more
