It is about 5-10 mins away from Launceston city centre, the staff were really nice we didn't have enough beds so because they didn't have any rooms available with an extra bed so they got some linen and folded out the lounge. P.S. It was very comfortable and it didn't cost extra.

Stayed for a couple of days and had no problems during our stay. This was our second stay in the past couple of years. The room and all amenities were clean and operational and parking was easy. The bathroom appeared to have been recently upgraded. The views from our room on the first floor were a bonus this time. The... More

At first impression we thought we'd made a bad choice! Looked rather tired from the outside. But the rooms were clean and quite modern. It looks like they are doing some renovations slowly. For example, our bathroom was more modern than next doors. There was plenty of room and the towels etc were really nice. A good heater too.

Tamar River Villas is actually a motel!!!! We stayed here, with friends, for three nights and as first time tourists to Launceston, we were expecting villas, not a double storey motel - how stupid were we??? Anyway, the motel rooms were comfortable enough, the location was an advantage and no complaints about cleanliness of our accommodation. Laundry facilities available, minimal... More

The room was spotless, nice and neat. The design of the shower was a little off putting. The shower was not enclosed and the water would flood the whole bathroom, but otherwise everything else was great. We were in room 14. Would definitely recommend this place to others. Close to Launceston CBD and Cataract Gorge

Tamar River Villas is a great choice for family accommodation close to Launceston CBD (5 minute drive). The friendly service by Danny (such as leaving a key under the mat for a late arrival) was most appreciated. The art work in the lounge room was unexpected but brilliant and, as well as the furniture and bookcases with a variety of... More

Stayed 4 nights here, very comfortable in the family unit for 4. Great Views. Out of town location but only a 5 minute drive to central Launceston. Close to Cataract Gorge and supermarket just a short drive away. Value for money, clean and tidy accomodation with a friendly and helpful caretaker/manager. Good restaurant onsite, with a car park was full... More

We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor which was very clean with plenty of space in the lounge\dining,there is a small kitchen complete with oven and microwave. The exterior is quite outdated and it is situated between the incoming and outgoing lanes of the road to the tamar valley, this results in a bit of traffic noise. The... More

Stayed one night with a friend while on a road trip adventure up and down the Heritage Highway, and were very glad we did. We booked a two bedroom with river view and were very pleasantly surprised. The room was large and spacious, was very clean and tidy, and had a well appointed kitchenette and bathroom. We even had a... More

Tamar River Villas is easy to find with a sat nav, even though the directions may not seem to make sense, as the site is in between the inbound and outbound lanes of the highway. The host was very friendly and helpful, and the room comfortable and clean. We stayed two nights, and ate in the restaurant. The food there... More
