Staying with my 18mth old daughter, reception was extremely helpful with my room booking and organised a portacot for her. The guy was very friendly and the room is beautiful, tidy and very functional. I appreciate the full kitchen and the space! :)

We had a 2 night stay at Tamar River Villas and we very happy with our choice! The room was very large, well appointed and very clean and obviously recently renovated with a queen and single bed with decent mattresses and linen. A decent size Sony TV , a full kitchen and brand new bathroom. It was a handy location... More

Fairly old motel, stayed in a 2 bedroom unit, 1 queen, 2 singles. Rooms generally clean, kitchen quite old, laundry/washing line available, located a bit out of town. Have also stayed at 6 other hotels around Launceston and would recommend Auldington (in town) or Country Club Villas (out of town) as my favourites.

This was our last stop in Tasmania before sailing back to the mainland. We were pleasantly surprised. Whilst it is not the newest motel around, it was very clean, comfortable and relaxing. The staff member was friendly, courteous and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and there were sufficient cooking facilities available, although if there is a negative, the kitchen needs... More

We stayed 2 nights in a studio apartment and whilst this may not be the newest motel in Launceston it had all the requirements we needed. The room was large, clean and the kitchen had all the necessary equipment for a short stay. Our room had a great view overlooking the Tamar River. The management was very friendly and accommodating.... More

This place is great! We planned to stay here for 4 nights after booking online. We ended up staying for 9 total. They were great, made sure that we were happy in our room. They also were very kind when I added more nights to our stay (on multiple occasions). The beds are comfy, the room was very clean, location... More

This is the first stop of our trip to Tasmania. It is only a short drive from the airport if you know the way. The outside of the hotel is not attractive at all. Since we have prepaid for the hotel we were given the key to our apartment with no additional information. It was low season for tourist so... More

ballroom sized room... with a queen sized and single bed it was spacious. Nicely renovated bathroom with a towel rack which accommodated TWO towels in front of a sunny window (for drying?) ...plus ample hanging hooks etc...a well appointed kitchen ...yes ..self-caterers ...a colander ...a baking dish (well I never) and a slotted spoon...(for the perfect poached egg breakfast silly?)... Tamar River Villas is a 30-40 minutes walk to the city. If you don't drive, you must be prepared to walk or call in a cab (approximately AUD12). The bedroom apartment is big enough for 4 of us (2 bedrooms, one had a Queen sized bed while the other had two Single beds) and there is a living room, a... More

On arrival the villas look drab and dated but once inside the rooms are very spacious with a separate little kitchen that has everything including a full size cooker and oven. Our villa had been refurbished to a very high standard, the bathroom is huge and spotless, we had 2 nights but space wise you could easily spend a week... More
