Our second stay at this Hampton Inn was as nice as the last. Welcoming staff, clean, well-kept and accommodating. The breakfast area is bright and the breakfast is ample. The woman who handles that is quite generous. A donut (from a local bakery?) was wonderful. The pool looked great though we didn't have a chance to use it. Next time.... more

We stayed for one night only during our colleges-touring trip. The hotel is located conveniently close to the IU campus but its driveway can be easily missed. It looks aged from the outside but the insides were reportedly renovated in 2007 (we believe). The check in was fast and efficient, probably the most impressive feature of our stay. We found... more

Many hotels nowadays provide free high-speed internet. The problem is you never know what it means by "high-speed". In Hampton Inn, Bloomington, "high-speed" apparently means "faster than 1980's modem". The wireless internet access is free alright but it's really slow compare to what other hotel chains provide. That said, if you are not a business traveler whom needs high-speed internet... more

My husband and I stayed here for business. What a pleasant experience! The staff is very pleasant and helpful, the rooms are clean and attractive, the beds are very comfortable and the continental breakfasts were well above average. This hotel was a more positive experience than some of the "luxury" hotels that we have stayed in. more

My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Bloomington for two nights over the July 4th weekend without a reservation. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. When we checked in the woman at the front desk was thoughtful and chose us a room on the top floor facing the IU stadium so we could see the fireworks.... more

We made a trip to Bloomington in April, to attend the Little 500 race and festivities. The hotel met our expectations and we were very pleased. It was very busy, but they kept everything clean and calm. The breakfast area was well stocked and personnel were there refilling and cleaning and making it enjoyable. The housecleaning crew was busy and... more

Stayed for four evenings at the Hampton Inn in October. It was a 2 mile walk to the auditorium at Indiana University. It felt very safe to walk in the area. Most would probably drive and you'll need to beware of all the one way streets, but Bloomington is beautiful. The room had a queen bed which was sufficient for... more

This hotel is a surprise, for its furnishings and hospitality make it seem far more luxurious than its Hampton Inn name portends. While it's not as swanky as a Ritz Carlton (eg, it has plastic soap dishes), this hotel delivers an incredible bang for the buck and in my opinion is the nicest hotel in Bloomington. Its location is near... more

Our son attends Indiana University in Bloomington, and we try to visit him at least twice a year at school. We've always stayed at the Hampton Inn, which is located only about a mile or so from campus. I woud say we've stayed there about 8 times so far, dating back to our initial campus visit in April of 2005.... more

I am a business traveller and stay at over 30 hotels a year. I often stay at Hampton Inns as they seem to have a consistent quality and reasonable rates. This Hampton was fine, nothing spectacular, but about what you would suspect. The rooms seemed a bit smaller than average. The bathroom was spacious and had a lighted magnified mirror... more
