I was on a trip to visit my daughter at IU for a day. My only necessity was to have a place to shower and lay my head down. Motel 6 fit the bill. All the other big chains wanted over double what I paid. The staff was friendly, allowed me a late check out. Parking was right outside my... More

This is a budget motel centrally located in a college town. One shouldn't have to say much more than that, but after reading the other reviews, perhaps a bit more explanation is needed. It's a budget motel. That means that people without a lot of money stay here. They might have kids. They may not treat the place like a... More

I stayed here for three nights in late October 2013 and had a nice stay. Big room with a comfortable queen size bed and a great heating unit that was easy to operate. The staff was very helpful and accommodating exuding a wonderful mid west pleasantness that I have come to love and appreciate when in Indiana. This hotel is... More

I got the impression this is a full time residential property. First room stunk of cig' smoke, second room wasn't much better. People were lounging about the property, repairing cars, and openly smoking whilst laid on beds with the doors open. Bed covers were disgusting, heavily stained. No thanks motel 6.

A wonderful looking old motor court inn but inside this was THE most basic place and completely overpriced. Lino floors! Cigarette smoke smell. Cigarette burns on the bedcovers. Towel rail fell on the ground when we tried to hang a towel on it. No breakfast. No coffee. There was wi-Fi - BUT it didn't work. Awful. If we had had... More

I was in town for a wedding and since it was going to be a short stay, we booked the cheapest hotel in the area (we wouldn't be in the room much anyway). I can say this was close to one of the poorest lodging facilities I have ever stayed in. But of course it's a motel 6, what did... More

I spent the night at the Motel 6 in Bloomington IN. Check in was smooth. The layout of the motel was unique to an older motor lodge. The room was very updated and looked recently remodeled. There was plenty of towels, hot water, and the room was comfortable. I experienced no road noise. I slept great. Nice job Motel 6!... More

Checked in; non-smoking room smelled of smoke; got relocated in the motel----guess what? (First 99 answers all the same as this one). Room smelled of smoke ! Had to stay as it was a football weekend and everything was booked. Later, contacted Motel 6 National H.Q. and was denied a refund. I should sue them for fraud as the room(s)... More

I needed to stay in Bloomington for 2 days and this was one of the only hotels that had a room...and I can see why. The room had a very musty smell and had a damp feeling. While it was clean there were no towels, washcloths or even soap to wash your hands. So if you are going to stay... More

First of all, I'm career military and I've slept in some really, really funky places. I don't need much -- quiet room, clean bed, place to wash up. After an 11-hour drive from Tulsa to Bloomington for a funeral, I desperately needed rest and had stayed at this Motel 6 in July 2009 without incident, so did not expect any... More
