This B&B is a large, older home and attached property of 20+ units. Each room/suite is unique and comfortable. We occupied a good portion of the property for wedding guests. Everyone was pleased with the facilities and service. The breakfast was of excellent, fresh quality and diversity providing a good selection of hot dishes, fruit, cereal and pastries. Moreover, the... More

When I visit Indiana University I am drawn to the Memorial Union hotel, but the Grant Street Inn should really be my first choice. It would be a great place to stay wherever it was located; since it is just off campus, it's perfect. It is fun to walk up the front steps, cross the broad porch, open the door... More

This is a fantastic place to stay. Very quaint and historic. The breakfast is also very good. Every room is different but has everything you need (comfy bed, tv, bathroom). It is centrally located and close to everything in downtown Bloomington. We walked everywhere. My only complaint is if you are staying on a first floor room near the street... More

Bloomington, being a university town, is a busy, bustling kind of place. This B&B was an oasis of calm. The staff were charming and welcoming and I felt right at home. My room on the ground floor was lovely and the bed and pillows were the sink-in-and-sleep kind. (Just beware the sharp corners of the bed frame as I got... More

while visiting Indiana University. I only stayed one night but enjoyed a fairly large room with private bath and fireplace. This is a charming bed and breakfast inn, located 2 short blocks from the main street, Kirkwood. They provide complimentary newspapers and serve a nice breakfast. I noticed that they made eggs to order for some of the guests. The... More

Years ago this was our first B&B experience only because we could not find a hotel room available in Bloomington. We returned again for a mini vacation this week and found the Grant St. Inn to be just as lovely as our first stay. Cannot say enough about the beautiful and comfortable rooms. This is what a B&B should be... More

I stayed in Grant street inn for one week and I had the best time. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the breakfast was yummy and the Chef bakes fresh cookies/brownies everyday and leaves them in the reception for the guests to divulge in. The only drawback is that they have no lifts so you will need to carry all your... More

This was our first visit to the Grant Street Inn and we will return on our next trip to Bloomington. It is an interesting hybrid.....B&B features and feel but a size and multi-building configuration that makes it feel like a small hotel also. The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. There was a decent workout room....a must for me.... More

Our son is a freshman and we have tried 3 hotels so far. Grant Street Inn has won our hearts! This will be our first choice no matter what! They are so nice and welcoming! You get a very nice free breakfast every morning. They have fruit and homemade cookies out everyafternoon into the evening. The rooms are comfy and... More

Great b & b: welcoming, clean and with terrific (changed daily) breakfasts cooked by onsite chef, this is a good place to stay in Bloomington, especially if you are visiting the university. Rather noisy in the annexe (another similar colonial style house) - thin walls; so go upstairs if you can.
