This is a gorgeous historic home converted tastefully into an Inn. I came alone and had loads of space in Room 22 on main floor. Beautiful room, HUGE King bed with more pillows than a bed should have (good). It was however, a little offputting to be in a room that literaslly opened into the front lobby though. TV, whic... As a graduate of Indiana University--I won't tell you how long ago--I return to Bloomington 2-to-4 times a year for alumni board activities and sometimes home games in basketball or football. Grant Street Inn is by far my first choice as to where to stay. The rooms are special -- no cookie-cutter duplication, instead each is distinctive, comfortable, reminiscent of... More

We spent 6 nights here. Excellent location as you can walk downtown to restaurants very easily and it is close to campus. The homemade breakfasts offered great variety with different options daily. I may have gained a few pounds but that was my own fault! We were in a room on the top floor in the main building (upper corner... More

We stayed in an Expansion Room and it was wonderful. Exactly what we were looking for, quiet, comfortable and convenient to everything. We walked everywhere we went, you can't beat the location. The staff were all very nice. We did not eat any of the breakfast, one reason we were there was to sleep in. Parking was easy. I would... More

We spent only one night, and I would describe it as quaint. The rooms were fairly good sized, though there was a lot of variability. My brother was also staying the same night, and his room was noticeably smaller. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was really, really soft, which I did not like. Breakfast was mediocre at... More

Spent a weekend in Bloomington and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Large room with a desk, comfy chair and small fridge in one of the annexes. Have to say my room at the Showers Inn several years ago was more "charming" but much smaller. Breakfast was fabulous -gourmet items that were different both days. Location very close to Kirkwood (which could... More

This B&B is a large, older home and attached property of 20+ units. Each room/suite is unique and comfortable. We occupied a good portion of the property for wedding guests. Everyone was pleased with the facilities and service. The breakfast was of excellent, fresh quality and diversity providing a good selection of hot dishes, fruit, cereal and pastries. Moreover, the... More

When I visit Indiana University I am drawn to the Memorial Union hotel, but the Grant Street Inn should really be my first choice. It would be a great place to stay wherever it was located; since it is just off campus, it's perfect. It is fun to walk up the front steps, cross the broad porch, open the door... More

This is a fantastic place to stay. Very quaint and historic. The breakfast is also very good. Every room is different but has everything you need (comfy bed, tv, bathroom). It is centrally located and close to everything in downtown Bloomington. We walked everywhere. My only complaint is if you are staying on a first floor room near the street... More

Bloomington, being a university town, is a busy, bustling kind of place. This B&B was an oasis of calm. The staff were charming and welcoming and I felt right at home. My room on the ground floor was lovely and the bed and pillows were the sink-in-and-sleep kind. (Just beware the sharp corners of the bed frame as I got... More
