Ape unsung a lot of time in hotels is part of my job. When I heard I was being accomadated in a "guesthouse" I was a bit sceptical. After being here I would not stay anywhere else in Bloomington. It is such a refreshing change to your normal 4/5* hotel. Homely family feel. Fresh homemade cookies available during the day.... More

I stayed here for an entire week. I was taking a class IU, and it was a nice 10 minute walk to campus. My room was big and spacious and decorated very nicely. The bed was super comfortable, the shower worked great, and it was nice to have a refrigerator in the room. The building was very charming. Breakfast in... More

The Grant Street Inn has the charm and openness of a b&b with a little more privacy, since there are rooms in 5 different buildings. Breakfast is served in the main building, as well as coffee always available and cookies after 3 pm. The property is beautifully landscaped - so many different plants and flowers, and lots of porches from... More

I was put up by my hosts at IU Maurer School of Law and had low expectations of a BnB but the Inn was a wonderful surprise. It's a set of charmingly renovated early 20th century houses down Grant street. Each room was different. Mine, on the ground floor of the annexe was a large sunny room taking up two... More

We have stayed here three times. A friend recommended this wonderful place. Renovated by the well-known Cook family, this is a turn of the century bed and breakfast complete with its own chef. On our first stay, we arrive to check in and fine freshly made divinity. So many fun touches. Just a block from the Indiana University campus.

A law partner and I were placed here for a one-day visit at the IU Maurer School of Law. Very convenient location (I'm thinking Nick's in the evening and breakfast in the morning) and easily walkable to the southwest corner of campus. My room (33) was immaculate, had a king bed, and a shower. The washbasin was in the main... More

This was the third time that I stayed at the Grant St Inn, and each time I am completely charmed by it. The rooms are sumptuous (the beds are particularly amazing) and nicely decorated, and have all the necessary amenities (ironing board for instance). The breakfast is unremarkable but perfectly adequate. Great location for visits to the Indiana University campus.... More

This is a gorgeous historic home converted tastefully into an Inn. I came alone and had loads of space in Room 22 on main floor. Beautiful room, HUGE King bed with more pillows than a bed should have (good). It was however, a little offputting to be in a room that literaslly opened into the front lobby though. TV, whic... As a graduate of Indiana University--I won't tell you how long ago--I return to Bloomington 2-to-4 times a year for alumni board activities and sometimes home games in basketball or football. Grant Street Inn is by far my first choice as to where to stay. The rooms are special -- no cookie-cutter duplication, instead each is distinctive, comfortable, reminiscent of... More

We spent 6 nights here. Excellent location as you can walk downtown to restaurants very easily and it is close to campus. The homemade breakfasts offered great variety with different options daily. I may have gained a few pounds but that was my own fault! We were in a room on the top floor in the main building (upper corner... More
