We arrived not really knowing what to expect, since this was a place booked for us by the university. It was wonderful, the place is clean, elegant and comfortable, quiet, and perfectly located. Teas and hot chocolate are available in the lobby, and it was very nice to have that cup of herbal tea right before bed. A very nice... More

We stay here as our go to place for a weekend away. Have never been disappointed with anything connected to the Inn. Rooms are well furnished, clean, comfortable, price is right, private, and the breakfasts are delicious. Great weekend getaway to sneak away from reality for a short while.

I have stayed at Grant Street Inn at least a dozen times in the last five years when returning to Indiana University for various alumni responsibilities and it is, without question, the best hostelry by far in Bloomington. Conveniently close to the university, great rooms, in a comfortable old restored inn, and its newer additions. BUT--this time I found flaws:... More

My husband and I were in Bloomington over Labor Day weekend and stayed at the Grant Street Inn. We tend to be fans of B&B locations. The room was very large, nicely furnished and easy to access. I found the pillows on the bed to be musty smelling and they only gave us one hand towel - which seemed odd... More

Located between Indiana University and downtown Bloomington. It's an easy walk to both. The rooms are each unique and surprisingly spacious. The staff could not any nicer and the breakfast is wonderful. The cookies in the lobby at night are a nice touch.

Ape unsung a lot of time in hotels is part of my job. When I heard I was being accomadated in a "guesthouse" I was a bit sceptical. After being here I would not stay anywhere else in Bloomington. It is such a refreshing change to your normal 4/5* hotel. Homely family feel. Fresh homemade cookies available during the day.... More

I stayed here for an entire week. I was taking a class IU, and it was a nice 10 minute walk to campus. My room was big and spacious and decorated very nicely. The bed was super comfortable, the shower worked great, and it was nice to have a refrigerator in the room. The building was very charming. Breakfast in... More

The Grant Street Inn has the charm and openness of a b&b with a little more privacy, since there are rooms in 5 different buildings. Breakfast is served in the main building, as well as coffee always available and cookies after 3 pm. The property is beautifully landscaped - so many different plants and flowers, and lots of porches from... More

I was put up by my hosts at IU Maurer School of Law and had low expectations of a BnB but the Inn was a wonderful surprise. It's a set of charmingly renovated early 20th century houses down Grant street. Each room was different. Mine, on the ground floor of the annexe was a large sunny room taking up two... More

We have stayed here three times. A friend recommended this wonderful place. Renovated by the well-known Cook family, this is a turn of the century bed and breakfast complete with its own chef. On our first stay, we arrive to check in and fine freshly made divinity. So many fun touches. Just a block from the Indiana University campus.
