This hotel looks nice, but it is not nice. It is at the very low end of its type. The room smelled bad from stale air. There are no rooms in the hotel with windows that open. You have no temperature control on the AC and it is freezing. If you turn the system to fan, it barely moves the... more
We stayed in June, 2007. We arrived very late after a long drive from Kansas with two younger children and our 19 yr old son, who was attending IU orientation. My son and I stayed at the Bloomington Holiday Inn Express during his IU orientation. This hotel is a fantastic value. I was impressed with the decor, cleanliness and quality bath products. The beds are very comfortable with a variety of pillows on each. (Feather, Foam, etc...) The complimentary breakfast was very good with many selections available from sausage gravy... more
My experience is that Holiday Inn Express always offers a quality deal and the Bloomington hotel is no exception. It has everything you will need - really nice and comfortable beds, very nice pool, free happy hour, free breakfast (not just continental - has eggs, etc., too), and a nice little gym room. It even has a little business center... more
