Stayed in Courthouse suite in the past. Was travelling solo this time, booked reservation in Queen room, was upgraded to Wylie room on arrival. Wylie room is well appointed, and has full kitchen. Decorated with local art as the other rooms are. No windows in this room if thats an issue for you. Totally quiet, as this room is at... More

Our suite was upscale, sleek, contemporary, and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the artwork in the suite, and the full kitchen featured the latest appliances. Everything felt new and modern and fresh. Some things to know: all suites involve climbing some stairs with your bag(s). Limited parking is available at an additional daily fee, so you might want to discuss that... More

I have stayed at quite a few places in Bloomington over the years and this place was by far the best I have stayed at. It was like renting a small apartment, it was stocked with many amenities that you never find in hotels. I highly recommend.

Found this place online as a less expensive alternative for a one might stay during Freshman orientation for IU in June. Wow! couldn't be happier or more surprised with value, luxury, cleanliness. Why would anyone stay elsewhere? We were upgraded to the Courthouse Suite, a huge apt.overlooking courthouse square so our experience may be better. But can't imagine the other... More

The Suites at 118 provide an outstanding alternative to the run of the mill chain hotel. The Suites are located in a renovated historic building and are huge. Mark and his wife own and run the establishment. They are very friendly and accommodating. The location of the Suites makes it very convenient to the restaurants surrounding the main square in... We stayed in the Wylie Suite for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is beautifully decorated with local art and very comfortable furniture. It is walking distance to everything fabulous in Bloomington. The suite can comfortably sleep 4 and it is very quiet in the back of the building. We slept late like teenagers both mornings. Forget the... More

One year ago, my partner, Kelly, and I stumbled across Suites at 118 while planning an anniversay trip to Bloomington. The accommodations and owners were so wonderful that when we decided to return to Bloomington for our anniversary this year, we did not even consider another place to stay! We recommend Suites at 118 without hesitation and will always choose... More

Their website doesn't have listings of rooms, only a "contact us" online form and a phone number. Called to ask for availability, thinking that calling would provide the quickest and most up to date status for room availability. As with all calls, I was courteous and friendly and just was wondering so that I could set reservations (though the Google... More

We apologize for this reviewer's telephone and email contact experience. Our small operation responds by phone and by email as quickly as possible. We were traveling internationally, and one day passed without response to the customer's email, at which time the customer wrote the review rating the suites as "terrible." We contacted the telephone number provided, and it was answered... More

I have visited Bloomington countless times for both business and pleasure, and have stayed at nearly every hotel in town, and Suites at 118 is far and away the nicest accommodations I have ever experienced! Mark and Abby (the owners) met me at the front door upon my arrival and could not have been more welcoming, courteous and professional. Mark... More

Delightful and complete with original art. A friend and I who were recently visiting friends and family in Bloomington, IN decided to splurge and stay at the Suites at 118 on North Walnut. I did a thorough search for hotels in and around the town and am so glad we settled on 118. Run by Mark and Abby, there are... More
