If you like history, luxury and convenience this is the inn for you. Friendly and courteous staff. We definitely will return! I've never slept in a more comfy bed. I love the attention to details in this well appointed B&B from the front porch swing to the relaxing fountain in the courtyard. A haven in the city.

A lovely, charming B&B of real personality. It's quirky, for sure. If you like the corporate hotel experience, don't bother. If you like having conversations with the owners (even if it's about literature or gardening), if you like the kind of place where everyone says "good morning" at breakfast, and copies of classic American literature are left in your bedroom,... We rented an entire floor when we came down for our wedding. It was such a great experience. The people there are so helpful and friendly and the accommodations were absolutely wonderful. It's the perfect location to experience Bloomington, too. Walking distance to everything. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. Stay there. You'll be happy you did.

We were greeted by Carlos, who's a brother-in-law of the owners. He's unusual, a personality, just the way we like it. That's why we stay at B&Bs and not hotels, right? In the morning, we met Jake. He's also a brother-in-law of the owners. Or maybe he's an owner as well. Seemed very youthful, but that's probably just because I'm... More

The inn is perfectly located between campus and downtown Bloomington. there are several nice restaurants within easy walking distance. The onsite parking is a necessity...all the street parking is by residential permit only. I was in the Cassatt room, which has big windows and a nice view of the garden. The bed is incredibly comfortable, with high quality linens, and... More

We have stayed here several times and in a few different rooms. The place doesn't disappoint. The cook to order breakfast in the mornings is always good and fresh. The beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. Only room for two in the rooms so not a family place. Great place to stay and tour the IU campus and the... More

We've visited Bloomington before but this was our first stay @ Showers Inn. Air-conditioning was a welcome relief from our long day on the road. The common areas are gracious and the gardens and patios are lovely. Sandburg Room was perfectly comfortable. Help with getting luggage up the staircase to our room was very helpful. Breakfast buffet was generous and... More

Showers Inn is a nicely renovated mansion that's walking distance from downtown (and our son's apt.). Rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with fridge, microwave, and a handy in-wall dock to play your iPod through the ceiling speakers. Parking is in the adjacent private lot off the alley. For breakfast, there is cereal and fruit, plus they'll make any simple hot... More

We each had been on extended work cycles for weeks on end. When mission end came, we chose her work site, Bloomington, as where we would regenerate. The Showers Inn was the PERFECT place to be our home for those four days. Well appointed, with caring staff, it was easy walking distance of great nightlife and eating. We unconditionally recommend... More

I lucked into a room for a very busy weekend in Bloomington and was I ever fortunate. Showers Inn is a charming and comfortable B and B that is very clean, very friendly and with the most comfortable bed ever. There is a separate parking lot, which is a plus in a parking starved town. You will pass through what... More
