My wife, son and I recently stayed at Wampler House in Bloomington. The location is ideal- 10 minutes from the IU Campus, and close to several excellent hiking/running/biking trails. The accommodations were beautiful- very clean- comfortable and spacious. We had an adjoining room where our teen-age son slept which was very comfy. Diana, the innkeeper could not have been more... Me and my boyfriend went there as a small getaway for a night an we were the only ones in the house so it was extra quiet and peaceful. We absolutely loved it there and will more than likely be returning only problem we really saw was there was no where to really sit down in the rooms other than... More

Stayed here only one night, but this B&B was outstanding. Slight problem was a few steps and a couple of ramps - all too steep for code. Otherwise, this older family home (and addition to make 8 (?) guestrooms) has been turned into the one of the most detailed B&B's I've ever seen. Christmas decorations were abundant and detail was... We really enjoyed our two-night stay at the Wampler House while we were visiting our son who is a grad student at Indiana University. The home is beautiful. The food was delicious and extra snacks - including great pound cake and banana bread - were available in the afternoons and evenings. The room was sparkling clean. Although it was unseasonably... My fiance and I don't normally stay at B&B's but our Labor Day excursion to see some old friends, check out a couple breweries, and get away from Chicago for the weekend, happened to coincide with IU's season home opener and lodgings were very limited. That said, I was very pleased with our two night stay at the Wampler House... More

We were in town for the sad occation of a funeral. We arrived after a 12 hour drive and what a wonderful welcome we received. We were pampered and shown every courtesy. They accomodated our late arrival and our requests for early breakfasts. We did have time for an incredibly relaxing bubble bath in the whirlpool tub. We found chocolate... More

My mom and I needed a place to stay overnight for a girls weekend away and we found Wampler House. What a great surprise...the whole place is immaculate and very comfortable. It is close to both Nashville and Bloomington, which is where we wanted to be. Our host was very helpful and friendly and breakfast was amazing! We will definitely... More

Our daughter has been attending IU since 2008 and we have stayed at the Wampler House three times for dad's weekends and graduation. The house is beautifully maintained and breakfast is always a treat. The only drawback is that you need a car, since the B&B is 3-4 miles from campus. This place is a real "find" and well worth... What a wonderful place to stay in Bloomington! Clean, spacious, well-appointed rooms, wonderful breakfast, and best of all, the staff is so friendly! Diana really made us feel at home, from the accommodation of our late arrival, to the tour of the house, to the waters, teas and sodas available...it was a wonderful stay!! Thanks so much!!
