We could not fault this 'perfect' resort. The location is perfect, just across the water from the main town Luganville, in it's own pristine cove with it's own coral reef, ideal for snorkelling outside your bungalow. The food and staff were superb.. Fresh fish, lobster and local fruits splendidly prepared and served as good as any 5 star hotel. Nothing... More

There is really nothing I can add that has not already been said. Anne and her staff do a wonderful job, just go there and enjoy. The "fishpond" at your front door is teeming with fish life. Even spotted a couple of beautiful sea horses. Lobster every day and you see it being delivered fresh to the kitchen door by... More

I really can't say enough good stuff about this resort.... but it is simple, private and quiet... if you are looking for plush luxury then go to one of the chain hotels who may give you petals on the bed but you probably won't be served by the same person twice... Aore is small and just lovely. Ann is the... More

We stayed at this island paradise for 5 nights after 4 in Vila for my 60th birthday. The resort is accessed by a short 10-15 minute boat ride across Segond Channel from Luganville the main town on Espritu Santo. Our beachfront studio 'fale' was in the quiet no kids part of the resort and nothing could be faulted. What a... More

Aore Resort is a gem of a place to stay. Approx 15 minute ferry from mainland Santo means you are isolated from town, but not a lot happens in Santo anyway, so if you plan your trips you can coincide with the ferry timetable easily. It is a quiet and basic resort, none of the frills some travellers may expect,... More

Hubby and I went with another couple. We could not fault this paradise if we tried. It has the most beautiful location. Anne the owner is very passionate about her Aore Resort which I really admired. She introduced herself to us and had a fruit coctail waiting for us on arrival. The resort is very clean and fresh towels were... More

We went back to Santo exactly 12 months later and again stayed at Aore. (also this time at Oyster island) Once again this place proves what good management (Ann) and great staff can achieve. Its so professionally run but is warm and intimate and its easy to make friends with the staff and other guests. The pool area is undergoing... More

After getting married at Le Lagon we spent a bit over 2 weeks going to other islands. First stop was Tanna where we stayed at the Whitegrass Resort. The rooms here were lovely individual huts with their own bathroom and little porch area. By the time we arrived I was exhausted from entertaining 16 people for a week, and really... More

Anne and her team at Aore made our winter escape holiday an absolute pleasure. We were in relax mode within 24 hours. We don't often retrace our steps but Aore will definitely feature on our 'recharge' holiday list. The staff were all wonderful, unobtrusive but there when you needed them. Our room was the best and we will request that... More

This is truly paradise! Five nights was not enough! Our Beachfront cabin was only metres from the lapping water - one could sit relaxing on the verandah for hours. The resort exceeded all our expectations - position, meals ( we used the meal plan, which included lunch and two course dinner - unluckily wrong season for lobster ! ), management... More
