OK, for the record many of the claims made by previous posters are true; the décor is dated and some is worn. I just returned from a mid-June 2009 stay at this resort. Because of the slew of negative reviews re updating, I was concerned. The hotel lobby has comfy sofas and chairs on area rugs scattered before an array of wall-to-ceiling windows that overlook the lake. We found the staff to be very pleasant and the restaurant was pretty good. The rooms and hallways were another story. These areas are in extreme need of updating as the furniture appears to be from the 60's or 70's. The carpeting is extremely worn and needs replaced. The beach area is nice with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. more
The only thing that qualifies this place as a "resort" is its' location on Lake Michigan.
