Stopped here for lunch en route to The Crazy Bear where we were staying overnight. The staff were all attentive, smiley and had a sense of humour. The food is tremendous, delicious home made (rather than bought in and home heated up!), plentiful and good value. It was good honest British hospitality at its best. I wish we had stayed... More

This is one of the most friendliest pubs / B&B's I've stayed in. The rooms were immaculate, comfy and warm. The staff were really kind and went the extra mile to make sure you had a good stay. We actually ate at the Crazy Bear (this pub is walking distance) but the food at the pub looked really good too... More

The Coach and Horses is an great place to stay and very close to Raymond Blanc's Cookery School should you be attending a cookery course the next day and are looking for a place to stay beforehand that's more suited to the limitations of a post-Christmas, January budget! A very friendly Inn on quite a busy road, but which didn't... More

This restaurant is well worth going to, the food is exciting and varied. All the staff are polite, welcoming and helpful. We go here quite a lot even though we have pubs in our village, we prefer to drive to the Coach and Horses.

We arrived to attend a wedding nearby, the Landlord David, was extremely helpful and welcoming, even to the point of arranging a lovely staff member to drive us to the wedding when there were no cabs available ! our room was very clean, with everything you'd need to relax and sleep soundly in the extremely comfortable bed, we would not... My favourite country pub when we can get away from the children, lamb shank on special order before hand and a lovely vibe! Staff are always polite and friendly, I love there food. I couldn't put anything wrong with here as we enjoy going as much as we can.

Stayed for two nights in Room 1. The room had been nicely warmed ready for our arrival, and was clean and welcoming. After settling in and dropping our bags we found we were locked in! A phone call to reception and we were freed very quickly, apparently the lock was new so I would assume this has now been sorted... More

Although 7 miles out of Oxford it is worth the drive to stay in clean comfortable quiet functional value for money accommodation. Good choice of well prepared food for breakfast. Very much how one imagines an English country pub. Unlike other review we found the host and staff very friendly and helpful. If staying would highly recommend an evening meal... More

We made our reservations originally requesting three nights but David McPhillips the owner advised that the first night was full and he could only make reservations for two nights. We agreed to that and asked if he needed any credit card info. He replied that his only request was that if we could not make it to let him know.... More

We stayed here as we were going to a wedding at the Crazy Bear in Stadhampton. The bedrooms are in a courtyard out back so you can come and go as you please. Clean room, modern and recently decorated. Comfy bed and powerful shower. Good breakfast included with lots of choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money,... More
