When l looking for a local campground I will always come here. After the help that I got getting my trailer back in working order. Great campground for visiting Starved Rock. You need to be careful if you go when there has been a lot of rain. There is a great little creek that runs through the campground but it... More

If you are familiar with KOA campgrounds, then you know that they run the gauntlet from mediocre to superb. This particular KOA falls into the superb category. Dave and Linda run a wonderful campground, and the location couldn't be better! Everyone at the campground is very friendly and helpful, and the little store there holds most of the little things... What a beautiful campground! Enjoyed many weekend getaways with the family and even spent a whole week with the kids in mid-July. Love walking around the property. Very well maintained! The staff is very friendly and helpful! My kidsloved playing at the park and exploring in the woods, as well as by the creek. We are sad the summer is... More

Three years ago we were married at Starved Rock and for our anniversary this year we decided to spend a long weekend in the Utica area. After camping as a kid and young adult all across the country, to see that there was a KOA in the area was fantastic! We arrived on a Wednesday and Dave was there to... More

My husband and I have road tripped all over the United States of America and have camped in dozens of cities along the way. The LaSalle / Peru KOA in Utica, Illinois is without a doubt, hands down my most favorite place to camp. Owners Dave and Linda and their family do their very best to make you feel welcome,... More

We have been coming to this campground for over five years. We started with a tent, moved on to a pop up and now we have a travel trailer. Dave and Linda are great hosts and always make us feel at home. We we there this past weekend and had a blast !! The campground and facilities were clean. You... More

The KOA iis a great place to stay with kids. The other review about rats is false. The guys that wrote this review were asked to leave by the owner for being drunk and rowdy. I was there and it was great after they got run off. The owner even gave them a refund. Like I said I was there... More

4 days 3 nights of the WORST CAMPING TRIP EVER. Wanted to leave after the second night. When we first got there it looked promising, until all the tents started popping up out of nowhere from people going to a Kid Rock Concert. Literally 3 per site! Next thing ya know there was pot smoke in the air and people... More

You wanted to leave after the 2nd night and did you? We don't encourage the behavior you seem to have experienced. If one of my kids was threatened I would have taken it upon myself to do something about it. If I was so threatened I would have called 911. Bathrooms aren't utterly disgusting. The Mexican hip hop music you... More

Normally when i go camping i see squirrel's and raccoons and things of that nature. However at this KOA campground you will find nothing but Rats. You heard me.....Rats. The minute we unloaded the coolers from the truck i saw them swarm to us. Its like they wanted us to feed them or something. My buddy woke up with one... More

We have never seen a rat here! The rats you think you saw from the moment you unloaded your cooler must have been your group of friends swarming around you. They wanted you to feed them the beer from your cooler. How dare you tell such a lie. And thank you for never coming back here. More

I stayed there recently with a group of friends and thought camping out up on "the hill" would allow us to have a true camping experience, secluded from others, unlike at the bottom of the hill where they pack you in like sardines. We even paid for TWO campsites to give ourselves more room to spread out. We arrived first... More

I can only assume that you were part of the group that was asked to leave. Is a true camping experience for you a drink-a-thon with no respect for others? You got 2 tent sites only because we allow a maximum of 4 adults per site. Since we don't encourage "partying" and we don't screen our campers how can we... More
