This KOA was one of the better KOA"s I have ever stayed at. The bathrooms were VERY updated with great tile floors, new showers/shower heads, sinks, etc. The park sits off of the freeway in a country setting and you don't have the freeway noise, etc. but still have easy access to Starving Rock areas. Wifi wasn't really strong but... More

This is a really nice, clean and quiet campground. The location is far enough away from the highway to make is more secluded, yet close enough so that you're not driving a million miles to find it. The campground is on the smaller side and the wi-fi was spotty. However, it's very well maintained and the employees\owners are very nice.... More

Smaller campground, and well maintained. The pool was clean each day we visited, the bathrooms were clean, the showers were as clean as they're going to be for a campground with lots of people using them, even the outhouses were clean! (can you tell nothing ruins camping for me more than disgusting surroundings--'cept maybe rain) The 'primitive' camping has a... More

This was our final stop on our way home. We pulled in and were greeted promptly. We were escorted to our campsite which was level, and shaded. The campground is small but well maintained. We had a full hook up site, and all conveniences worked. Would stay again.

This is a close, reasonable place to stay if you are visiting Starved Rock State Park. The tent camping has lots of wooded areas and picnic table and firepit at each site. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained.

There is no antenna TV reception in this area and so we made 2 reservations because they advertise cable TV. They had 2 sites left for our reservations. I told them we looked at their campground last week and because of cable TV being available we would come back. I called them in less than 24 hours and asked if... More

My family and I stayed for 4 nights in July and I came away very happy. The owners appear to really care about the upkeep of the property...the bathrooms were always spotless and someone was always riding around in a golf cart picking up trash, emptying the trash cans, trimming landscape, or doing some other form of maintenance....the staff there... My husband and I stayed at the cabin on the hill a little over a week ago. According to the website, the cabin on the hill is the most requested/sells out fastest. It was a great site and very secluded--it's the only cabin up there--the rest are all tent sites. When we stayed last weekend there were zero tents so... More

Stayed at this campground weekend of 9-13. Rented a cabin. Was surprised to find a TV in the cabin, along with a air conditioner and a supplied box fan and a heater. I thought this was supposed to be a primitive cabin. The best part of the cabin was the swing on the front porch. We also had a charcoal grill... More
