Thank you to all of those people who enjoyed White Oak. It has always been our pleasure to serve people and help them to enjoy what we grew up with. White Oak was the dream and life of our parents. We have always been taught to be caretakers of the land, to lead by example and to serve those that... More

Had a good time at White Oaks! People were friendly, park is clean and has many beautiful trees and very peaceful!. We live in the area for many years and we'll be very sad to see it close. I hope the next owners open it as a campground and that's what we need around here is lot's of camping and... More

Stayed here Labor Day weekend. Check in was a breeze. The lady and gentleman at reception was very kind and helpful. The campground was extremely clean with very large wooded tent sites. The gentleman lead us to our sight and also made frequent rounds checking on everything to make sure there were no problems. We have stayed here about 7... More

Over all this is a great place to camp. I'm an Eagle Scout and have been to many of camp grounds before. White Oak is very close to starved rock. Yeah you have to pay for showers but it is only $.25 for 9 mins come on that's not bad. You have tons of space in your campsite. The staff... More

We had a great time here. Customer Service was great and campgrounds were very clean. A great place to bring your family. The owners were very helpful. I will definitely come back. The price was good and didn't have any problems with other campers. Very spacious campsites for privacy.

Only went here because everything around starved rock was full. That alone should have been a warning but we went anyway. When we arrived we were greeted with a very old sign with a ridiculous list of rules and a security bar as if we were entering Fort Knox. The lady seemed pleasent on the phone but had an attitude... This campground is actually pretty cute when you first pull in. What was a turn off were the rude employees. Also the site is a breeding ground for Mosquitos. I've been in some buggy places but this was outrageous. Swarms upon swarms all day long and they are impervious to repellents. Decent price if there is absolutely no where else... More

I have been there several times and while it won't compare to top grade campground it is almost always available on short notice. The area is open with tree cover. Nothing fancy just plain old camping. Experienced campers will know what I mean. There is access to a nice waterfall. It's also close to Starved Rock. If you want luxury... More

Passing thru Illinois after being on the road for two months we were bound to meet up with a doozy. The first impression is White Oaks Campground is of Sanford & Sons. Ok, it is camping. Then there are all the rules on makeshift signs everywhere and a price list that adds on a few dollars for this and that.... More
