We've been there a few times over the years and never experienced rude staff, but will agree it is an average campground. Being close to I-80 does not bring the quiet natural camping experience, but I also felt that way when staying at Starved Rock SP. However, if you want cabins, pool, playground, game room, and full RV hook-ups; I'd... More

I just returned from my second trip to this campground. My first experience was two years ago. On my first experience, I was not impressed with their level of customer service. The people at the front desk were very matter of fact. Not very welcoming, not rude but certainly not happy to welcome us to their campground. They have more... More

My husband and I stayed here in our motor home for a few days and loved it. We are headed back east now and we are stopping by again on our way home. Full hookups, laundry close to Starved Rock Park which is a great place to visit.

We stay here frequently when traveling thru the area. It is easily accessible to the interstate which also makes it a little noisy unless you get a spot toward the rear of the campground. I would have given it a better rating if the internet connection worked. We were able to hook in to the web but the connection was... More

I read and re read all the reviews of this campground. and then decided to see for myself what the problem was... There is NO problem... This Campground is Beautifully clean, well maintained, well staffed and peaceful.... We stayed one night here and were very cautious about our stay and meteing the People whom so many labeled Nazi's... That in... More

We stayed here 2 years ago and returned this summer for an overnight stop on our trip cross-country. Access to the campground is easy from I-80 and the campground, itself, is easy to maneauver. The interior roads and sites are white gravel and they have long, level, roomy pull-thrus which served our 33' Fifth Wheel well. The bathrooms and showers... More

The staff here are lame! They yell at you, treat you like a child and then wonder why they are having a hard time to pay the bills. People are leaving and going to other campgrounds. The management does not have to be so ignorant with people. If they did a better job with the place they would not be... More

Stayed here for a weekend getaway in a tent. We didn't get to pick our site, and it wasn't great for a large tent- we had to cram it in between trees on one side or really close to the road to be on flat surface. The bathrooms were so clean you forgot you were in a campground while in... More

Stayed here weekend of July 18th & 19th. My wife & I stayed in a cabin, while her brother and family were in trailers. The staff was freindly. Most important to us, was that the bathrooms were clean and they were. Plenty of hot water in shower, with a bench and plenty of hooks for hanging towels and clothes. The... More

We rented 4 cabins. We had about 20 people age 5 - 50 and everyone had a great time. We sang songs, cooked on the pit, swam in the pool. The campsite was extremely clean, the employees were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back.
