We stayed in #4. The cons: every wall is scuffed and dirty, particularly the kitchen, that has grease splatters. The bathtub drains is so slow that you're left standing in your own shower by the end. The toilet flush emits a high squeak that you can hear from outside. The "sofa bed" in the living room is a futon with visible... More

We stayed at the Willows over Valentines Day, while attending the Utica Wine Walk, and it could not have been more convenient. The hotel is very quaint, with homey touches in the public areas. The curtains on the porch add a romantic and whimsical touch. In the light of day, the Safari room looks a bit worn and in need... More

Utica is a neat little town just across the river from starved rock state park. The Willows is described as a quaint botique hotel but just doesn't match that description. The room I was in was more of an extended stay (larger with a microwave and small fridge) that should be $60-70 a night, not $145.

The food was terrific and the prices are great! Had to wait over a half hour or I would have given stars. You can sit inside or out, swatting flies inside too. Friendly people, recommend going off hours to get fed a little quicker, or don't have too tight of a schedule. Worth the visit.

Wow! I must say I was pleasantly surprised! This is a very nice place with really great folks as staff. Very nice breakfast brought to your room when you want it brought. All included. Walking distance to all of the down town shops. Really great choice for your stay.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at The Willows in Utica, IL. We went in the middle of a Polar Vortex (January 2014) on the occasion of Bald Eagle Watch at the very close-by Starved Rock State Park and the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center across the river. It's also only a couple of miles further to Matthiessen State Park. We had... More

The photo of the long porch with the rocking chairs says a lot about The Willows. It is a relaxing getaway from Chicago. We LOVE going there. The staff is friendly, the breakfast delicious AND brought to our room, the rooms are clean, comfortable and some have a theme. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and good food. We will... More

My husband and I chose to stay here, and not the lodge, because we wanted something quiet and more laid back. I really enjoyed this place. There are rocking chairs outside the rooms if you want to sit out and relax on the open porch. Our room: We got the deluxe suite " The pinto". I wasn't a huge fan... More

My husband and I stayed here for a low-key anniversary weekend. The place is nice, and probably your best option if you don't want to be staying in the lodge with all the kids, water park, etc. We stayed in the Pinto room, which was a great location on the second floor, end room. The best part is the breakfast... More

Girls' trip weekend; had a blast! Breakfast was beyond belief and brought to our room every day at our requested time! Wasn't expecting much based on other Trip Advisor reviews; worried about the conditions we would find. Our room, #9, had 2 queens and a really tasteful pull out couch, oversized ottoman, larger than dorm room frig, toaster, full size... More
