We were going go stay here last year, but we're frighten off from the reviews. The new ownership has made many improvements, but has some way to go to live up to my KOA standards. The staff at the desk were extremely helpful, they gave us an escort to camp, easy directions to avoid Chicago and Ohare airport traffic and... More

My biggest complaint would probably be how tight it was. I have never stayed at another campground where they had to ask people to move their vehicles so they could get other campers in. The driveway is narrow, if someone else is going the other way, someone is going off the side. The sites are unlevel. It was clean for... More

This campground is a great place to experience camping for the first time, have a cheap but fun experience with your family, or stop to camp on your way through the state. The campground is in more "rural" Illinois, but you are right next to electricity lines and you can see tops of homes just over the berm. Campers are... More

We spent 3 nights at this location visiting our family who came up in their RV. We have been to many KOA campsites in our travels. I do like the proximity to Chicago, it was nice not having to drive for hours. I think the pull through sites were too narrow for our liking. I did not like sitting around... More

We recently stayed in a cabin. Relaxing and very enjoyable. I am a Director of Sales at a hotel and just wanted to get away for the weekend. Clean, great staff. I would highly recommend to anyone who just needs a time out. Clean pool, and they keep up the facility nicely. Thank you for a great weekend.

We went to the the Chicago Northwest KOA for a family trip. The first night of our campfire, someone in a yellow tshirt told us we could not sing at the camp and that KOA was not a party camp. He had the audacity to get off of the cart in a threatening manner and was speaking to our group... More

We appreciate the opportunity to elaborate on our current campground policy. Quiet time at Chicago Northwest KOA Sunday through Thursday is at 10 pm and Friday and Saturday at 11 pm. I personally patrol the park at night and enforce quiet time. We do not allow large groups to take over the park at night and behave the way they... More

I came upon this vacation site by accident when my antique automobile suffered a broken stabilizer bar. I was not only welcomed into the park after hours, but was also put to rest any concerns about finding a qualified mechanic by the owner Thomas himself who not only drove me over to his personal mechanic when i was not able... My 18-year old son and 3 friends were driving from MA to CA to drop a friend off to college. The 2nd stay of their journey was at this campsite. We meticulously booked his entire trip through AAA and when they arrived, were told they could not pitch a tent because they were not 21. My son called me and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in a 32 ft RV. We used this as a base while we toured Chicago and visited friends. VERY VERY clean and neat... Plenty of things to do for the kiddies! Daryl (I think) showed us to our site... and told us where everything was etc. He helped the grand kiddies with getting those... More
