This inn accepted our free night coupon from American Historic Inns so we could be pampered with everything nice. We enjoyed the company of this excellent husband and wife team. They even invited us to a picnic out at Taylorville Lake where we met many people from the community and their friends. The picnic fare was excellent! We love small... More

We stayed in the Chimney room, it was an incredibly comfortable and enjoyable stay. High quality bedding, quality furniture, and a tasty breakfast. They had no problem accommodating a vegetarian. We highly recommend staying here and will stay here again ourselves.

We had a very relaxing weekend that included a free upgrade to the clocktower room & an invitation to rest for as long as we liked & take our time with checkout the following day. Breakfast was custom-made & delicious, the room was clean and comfortable, and the jacuzzi was spacious & relaxing. Highly recommend the Inn!

Great experience! A lovely historic house with beautiful unique rooms. It had modern amenities and was very clean. Joe and Myrna were excellent hosts and provided a wonderfully prepared breakfast. Highly recommend.

Joe and Myrna were the perfect innkeepers and hosts. They were very kind, gracious, and helpful by chatting with us, giving us a tour of their bed and breakfast, sharing the history, and suggesting sites to see and places to eat. The inn and the room we had (The Clocktower Room) was beautifully decorated (especially for Christmas), and there were... More

Love this place!!! Period furniture, beautiful wood throughout. Each room has its own personality. Myrna and Joe are wonderful hosts. Wine, fruit, and cheese in the evening and a terrific and hearty breakfast in the morning. We even had warm cookies and hot chocolate for my grandchildren. Try this place and you will come back again and again! Jan Miller

We come into town twice a year for business. And every single time we are greeted warmly, with extremely comfortable and clean rooms. The owners could not be any nice or more accommodating. There is a casual wine reception in the afternoon, and the breakfast in the morning is just incredible. We are looking forward to our next stay already!... More

Had a wonderful experience at Market Street Inn. Great accommodations and breakfast was even better. Very friendly and felt like I was staying at a friends house than a very impersonal hotel. Very nice place.

My husband & I stayed as guests from the Taylorville United Methodist Church next door. The hosts Myrna and Joe were gracious. They have put alot of work into restoration of this cherished treasure. They both were so knowledgeable about the history and we were fascinated as to how they acquired the home and to all the details with restoration.... More
