Beautiful house, best place to stay within in the area. Very well cared for Barber house from the 1890-'s. Joe and Myrna were very gracious, spent a lovely evening on the porch drinking wine and chatting.

This was the very first bed and breakfast my husband and I stayed at. We loved it. We stayed in the carriage house. The owners were away for the weekend So we had Brenda their assistant cook us breakfast both mornings. We were thankful we are able to call Brenda the first night we were there because the hotwater heater... More

My wife and I took a week off and traveled through three different states, staying at different B&B's on our trip. We stayed two nights with Joe and Myrna at the Market Street Inn and loved every minute of our stay!! When you think of the word HOST, once you meet both Joe and Myrna, you realize what the true... Thank you for coming to stay with us on your trip. As I recall this trip was the first time you had stayed in any B&B, let alone ours. You found that B&B's are like fingerprints, we are all different and function in different ways. We are glad that you liked ours and our service and offerings to you. As... More

Had the opportunity to stay here while visiting family. First time staying here -- would definitely stay again!!! This is a lovely old family residence converted into a spacious bed & breakfast. Each room has a different theme, but each guest receives personal, impeccable service. Thank you so much, Myrna & Joe!!!

My nephew got married July 6, 2013 and I booked my stay with Joe and Myrna. They are very gracious hosts ! They have a beautiful bed and breakfast full of historical pieces. Joe and Myrna have a vast knowledge of all the historical sites around. My husband and I lived in Taylorville before his employment transferred us out of... More

We stayed at the Inn for our High School Reunion weekend in late September. It was our second visit to the Inn and my family also has stayed there when visiting our hometown. We travel the world and couldn't have been happier with the experience or the accomodations. The house is a treasure from the late 1800's and has been... More

Joe and Myrna were very welcoming, and their inn is absolutely beautiful. Nice and quiet place to relax and spend time with loved ones. While Taylorville was very small, Joe and Myrna pointed us in the direction of a nice steakhouse right down the street. My wife and I drove up to Springfield to visit the Lincoln Museum and Frank... What a way to spend a night after cycling along wonderful and leafy Lincoln Praire Trail to Pana. We were staying in Chimney room, a part of lovingly restored mansion with all amenities and reach in history. Myrna was fantastic, a real hostess. Everything about this B&B was perfect. Home away from home. Highly recommended.

Joe and Myrna are welcoming and the inn is charming, clean and comfortable. Service is personal and breakfast is wonderful. So many lovely surprises; gas fireplaces, refreshments readily available, jetted tub, Tempur-Pedic mattress. Everything was spotlessly clean and fresh smelling which is unusual for old inns. I can't imagine what could have been better!!

This town is very bland but we had no choices really to stay for several days. Joe seems like a great guy....but we would never stay there again unless the price reflected the fact that is absolutely nothing to do in town. Thank goodness we belong to a Y as we were able to work out and enjoy their indoor... More
