My apologies to Hostal Pedrito for not consistently providing feedback to Trip Advisor following my many trips there (I think I'm up to 18 times staying there). In my defense, there are only so many ways to describe a place that is perfect, that has amazing staff who go out of their way to accommodate you, that has food so amazing that it is IMPOSSIBLE not to gain weight, and where immaculate, comfortable rooms are the standard, not an option. I have been staying at Hostal Pedrito since 2012 (see my previous reviews), when I would go and visit my Cuban fiancé (now my husband). We got married there and we continued to stay there year after year while Canadian immigration officials held up my husband's application for permanent residency. During those years my husband and I have become very close to Alain, Daylin, Diego, Amaia, Aracelys, Norbet, Lucia, Maricelys, and Maryelis (I hope I got the spelling right on everyone's name!). I could say that the reason we are treated so well is that we are now close friends, but I would be lying. Every guest who stays at Hostal Pedrito (even the obnoxious ones - and there have been a few that I've run into over the years) is warmly welcomed and treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Every guest who stays at Hostal Pedrito is guaranteed immaculate accommodations and service better than that provided at any 5-star hotel. Every guest, no matter if they are staying one night or six months, is treated to exemplary service, no matter the time of day or night. Want to go to the beach? No problem. You will be provided with free transportation into Varadero. Or you can walk or ride one of their available bicycles to one of the beautiful public beaches, just minutes away. Want to check out local attractions? No problem. They will make suggestions and help you organize your transportation. Hungry but it's between the usual meal times? No problem. They will serve you whatever you like off of their substantial menu (and sometimes stuff that isn't on the menu) whenever you want. Need help finding a casa particular in another city? No problem. They will help you with your reservation. The title of my review is the complete truth. When scheduling travel to see my husband, I connect with Alain to see what is available for my planned travel dates. If there is no availability for the period of time I'm thinking about travelling, I start thinking about a different time to travel. Then I book my flights. You see, if I can't stay at Hostal Pedrito, I just don't go. It's that simple. Still not sure this is the place for you? Just go. You'll see. P.S. If you do make a reservation, please honour it. Many, many times when I've been staying there, people simply did not show up, without notifying Alain. This leaves the room empty for however long the reservation had been made, sometimes for more than a week.…
