I stayed in the Merlot room. It was big and clean and tidy it also had everything you needed for a pleasant stay. I ate in the evening and the food and the service was faultless! I would definitely go back to the The New Inn if passing again. Nothing was too much trouble and Dora even posted my phone... More

If something is on the menu it must be on the plate. Roast chicken lunch with bread sauce was lacking bread sauce. It arrived 20 mins late and was awful. Not good enough The NewInn. The waitress apologised but we should have been told they had run out of bread sauce when we ordered. The roast leg of lamb was... More

We stopped here on the way to Mapledurham, the pub is in this quiet village with lovely undulating walks around. A bit of a pain to get to but well worth it. Very nice garden. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the menu was varied although not cheap, especially for lunch although they do sandwiches and jacket potatoes too.... More

What a great Sunday lunch after a lovely walk. Outstanding rib eye beef and veg. The vegetarian among us had the vegetable parcel which was very good. The fish cake starter very good. Good wines well priced and the staff give great service for an overall excellent experience.

In complete contrast the previous reviewer we had a great experience and that was also with a Groupon voucher. Having tried to book (via email) for a couple of Friday evenings only to be told they were fully booked they then offered us alternative dates (I expected to be fobbed off with weekdays but I wasn't) and accommodated us after... Bought a Groupon voucher tried to book on numerous occasion!!! Did not return any calls and now to do not want to honour their deal finding rubbish excuses. Not surprise that the place look a shamble if they can commit to their own deal made on their on terms to advertise their business, this us a flop marketing speaking.

We recently dined here with friends on a Friday evening and it soon became clear why the carpark was crammed full when we arrived. We had made a table reservation weeks ahead of our planned visit as we were not sure how busy it would be at 8pm on a Friday evening, and as it turned out we were very... More

We recently stayed in the Merlot room prior to a friends wedding. I can certainly say that we were not disappointed with our stay and would defiantly visit again if we were in the area. The venue is a quite location and is a lovely country style pub. The pub area is very nice with drinks at fair prices. The... More

Beautiful location, lovely pub, lovely staff and amazing food. Excellent selection of home made breads, with roasted garlic, oils and tapanade. Exquisite goats cheese tart with Brie to start followed by what, in a lesser restaurant could've been a disappointing choice of vegetable filo tart, but it was absolutely delicious. I can't comment on the desserts as I ate so... More
