Stayed here for one Sunday night at the end of September. We had a double room at the front of the hotel. Room was clean and comfortable staff very pleasant and room was well equipped. Bathroom was nice with a large shower. Can't comment on the food as we didn't partake but the breakfast the following morning was great. Yes... More

I recently stayed on business in the area, be carefull when booking, room said £80 per night, but when I had booked notice 2nd & 3rd nights were charged at £90, a bit excessive for the quality of the hotel. Heating wasn't working when I was there, pretty chilly in the morning, although I did notice it came on for... More

My wife (Deborah) and I stayed in room number 23 from the 16th to the 18th September. The room was clean and comfortable and this is the first hotel that I can remember where the room had been comfortably heated. Our visit was to bring my younger stepdaughter who lives near the hotel home, she had been convalescing with us... More

the staff are very friendly and it looks like they are updating the rooms, the bed is very comfortable. the only problem is that it is hard to get a room there as it is so good, the food is well prepared and tasted lovely, i liked the idea that i cold eat in the bar area

Starting with the good. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is close to the Motorway and relatively easy to find although the advance notice sign could be clearer. Reasonable number of parking spaces. On a day when most of my normal hotels in the area were either full or charging ridiculous prices, this place had rooms at an acceptable... More

This hotel could do with being brought in to the 21st Century - looks and feels like it hasn't been updated since the mid-90's. The reception area certainly could do with a lick of paint to make it feel more welcoming. The room itself was fine, just dated. All the fixtures and fittings are old - and the bathroom was... More

Lovely room - clean and well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful. Very nice stay. Even though the hotel was very busy the weekend we were there, we were not disturbed by the noise at all and our stay was very nice.

Having to be in Reading on business for a week I was fully expecting high prices common to the area and was pleasently surprised by the value for money this hotel provides. Very good service from the staff and even the restaurant was good value with a good choice of menu. Very pleased with the comfortable room. Recommended.
