I have stayed at this hotel once year for about the past ten years. This is the first time I have stayed since it changed hands to Hyatt Place. I was very impressed with the extensive remodel of the hotel. It is a very contemporary-type style. Our room was very clean and spacious, it was almost like a mini suite.... more

Stayed for one night. The good is, pleasent staff, large room, nice TV, decent breakfast and a great location. The first room they gave us smelled like a cabin and the mirror over the sink was half in the sink. Not sure how the cleaning staff didn't notice. The second room was better, only a slight smell. We could tell... more

Last minute weekend getaway for family of 8, booked two rooms on Hotwire, great deal! Front desk was helpful and courteous. The rooms are large with modern , trendy appointments. Large sitting area with big screen LCD TV, at least 48" size. Bathroom was clean, a little tight, but acceptable. Continental breakfast was plentiful and healthy fare. Starbucks coffee was... more

Room was wonderful. Much larger than expected. Breakfast was good & there were real plates, bowls, etc., not all the throw away stuff. It was very quiet considering we were there on a weekend. Stayed there because we were going to Ikea which is right across the street. Also went to Sears Tower but the traffic was a nightmare going... more

This is the discount version of a Hyatt, and with the regular Hyatt booked, I reluctantly gave this a shot. A pleasant surprise, the room was excellent - and the front desk and bar staff went above and beyond. The area itself is depressing - but this hotel was a nice place. more

We had stayed at this location when it was Amerisuites and always enjoyed it. We had an overall good experience at the hotel despite the fact that the pool was so freezing I would only go in on a bet. But, upon returning home and checking my credit card, I had the Travelocity charge on my bill and a $160... more

Stayed at the Hyatt Place, Itasca, IL and loved it. This time we decided to stay right next to the mall. That was the only positive. My friend & I were w/3 girls, 1 who had soccer next day. Pool is a big deal. It was ICE cold. No way you could swim. I think hotels are scaling back on... more

Stayed here New years eve with some friends, we do a low key appetizers, drinks, and watch movies each year. The staff told us as long as we were quite they wouldn't have a problem with it. For the first time in years of doing this we were able to get two conjoining rooms. It was VERY nice. We were... more

Hyatt Place is a neat, clean contemporary hotel. We loved the location right next to Ikea. We really enjoyed the breakfast. We did not enjoy the partying, drinking and smoking from the guests across the hall. We politely asked them to turn down the loud music at around 12:00 am because we had my young daughters along for our stay.... more

Stayed here for a week while on business. Hotel is very conveniently located (if you have a car). Lots of shopping and eating nearby (Ikea is right across the street). Rooms are nicely furnished - loved the huge plasma screen. Included breakfast was also very good every day, Wireless internet access in room seemed very slow though. Would definitely stay... more
